Local markets in Sydney and winter swims
This weekend has been so nice. Both Saturday and today – Sunday. It has been spent by the beach – with refreshing winter swims, yummy breakfast by the ocean and at local markets.
Lets just start with the Sunday at the local markets. This is how it looked today at beautiful Avoca local markets. Cant believe we never been to this part of Avoca, we are here all the time, but at the beach.
How cozy does this scene look . Just an old man having his sandwich by the water, I tried all day to get his spot but after he left everyone else seem to have the same idea.
We met up with Ambrose cousin Wade, his wife Jackie and their little son River. We strolled around the market and tried out the different food stalls. We shared haloumi fries, Gozlem and mango smoothies. It was a lot if yummy things to choose from.
I really don’t like a lot of the “hippie” stuff they often sell at local markets. Don´t get me wrong, I like looking at it but it’s just not really my preferred decor for my house.
And And this is how I ended my day. A jog by the ocean and then when I worked up a sweat I run into the ocean. Nothing like winter swims.
Now its time for chicken coconut laksa and the second season of 13 Reasons Why in front of the fireplace.
Happy Sunday everybody! xx

wedding inspiration
Isn’t this beautiful! I have for a couple of weeks now been saving inspirations for wedding. Mainly from Pinterest, it is crazy how much inspiration you can find there – on everything!
I would love a wedding similar to this. South of France, small wedding with just the absolute closest. A whole weekend, so maybe a late lunch on Friday, wedding Saturday and a late breakfast on Sunday before everyone heads home. And we go on our honeymoon haha.
I am mostly excited about the sunday breakfast after the wedding just because breakfast is my favorite meal.
Okey, got to go now – Ambrose is showing me apartments and I need to be involved. Ciao for now.

work work work
Today has been all work and noting else but work it feels like. A good day though, got a lot things done but I know I have at least 30 unanswered emails open when I start my computer in the morning. My boss came in today after doing work overseas for about 6 weeks. First time we met actually. I was very excited, and a tiny bit nervous. I wanted her to feel I do good work.
Not doing much good focusing on that now at 9:30pm from bed. I deal with the work in the morning.
The highlight of the day was that I FINALLY got to speak to my sister Hanie for almost 2 hours. I wrote finally because with my new schedule I seem to never be able to talk with my family and friends in Europe. Every time I can call, it is in the middle of the night, Or I am on the train trough the Australian jungle and the reception is crap.
I am a bit frustrated because this has literary been going on for over 3 weeks now! All good now, Hanie and I got a good chat – miss my family!!Thank God for Whatsap. And now its time for bed. Well deserved I must say after all of today’s work.

lazy days with a newborn baby, poke bowls and surfboards
There has been a lot going on these past few weeks – honestly most of 2018 has been full on. So some weekends it’s really appreciated to just have a couple of lazy days. Here is one of those lovely lazy weekends, filled with no plans.
Don´t get me wrong, I have loved everything we have done so far in 2018. Just nice to have some lazy days with a newborn baby, poke bowls and surfboards and nothing more.
I am an auntie again! We did see little Archer just a couple of hours after he was born at the hospital. Here we are visiting at their home. Congratulation to Rachel & Daniel!
I keep telling them to just keep having children, they make such gorgeous and lovely babies! So far Xavier and Archer are 2 of the most beautiful people I have seen in my life. Then we drove to collect Ambros’s new wet suit he order from the surfboards shop. And like always there was a little surfboards drooling (Ambrose not me haha) Who wants to carry around this giant?!
Yep – lazy days are better whenever including something nice like these poke bowls.
Seriously – get yourself to Manly and order one of these poke bowls. Best lazy day food! MmmmmmNormal people recommend useful stuff – I recommend poke bowls……

Terrigal and snakes
Got a lot done today. I made us pesto scrambled eggs on toast in the morning to get us going. Then we had a quick drive to some snake exhibit with Ambrose brother Leonard. He bought 2 snakes, they were not gig yet so I touched one of them for half a second with my index finger – that was enough. Lets be hones I am no Steve Irvin when it comes to snakes or any other reptiles.
It was a nice and sunny day so we drove a bit further to Terrigal- one of my favorite spots here around the coast. The three of us had a coffee in the sun and a walk on the beach. If you haven’t been to Terrigal, I highly recommend it. Gets very busy in summer so now during winter its perfect.
After that we went and looked at an apartment that – as you can see from my picture – was beautiful. Such good view. I prefer it like this, you see the water, the bush and also a bit of the city – Perfect if you ask me. I’m not really into just ocean views, I know I’m the only one saying this. We decided to be super lazy and get a box of chicken nuggets for lunch by the waterfront. Sometimes its nice to just keep it simple and unhealthy hahaha
The afternoon was when I really got a lot done. I went to the gym for an hour and then decided to quit my membership (I never have time to go anyways since I started working in the city) I return some clothes I was never going to wear, cleaned out my closet and draws. I got some groceries and watched an episode of Masterchef Australia.
Hope you guys had a nice day too. xx

watsons bay boutique hotel
I think my phone needs to be replaced asap. Cant take any nice pictures anymore ant it is bothering me because these places and occasions you want to keep as a memory.
Today we accepted our invite to our friend Jackson´s birthday. They had invited us weeks ago but after our trip to Brisbane last weekend, both Ambrose and I have been a bit sick. But I am glad we went, we always have such a fun time with Jackson and his girlfriend Kimberley.
We had lunch and drinks at the Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel which s a very pretty spot here in Sydney. The pictures might not be great but today was alot of fun!
And we randomly saw three couples having their wedding at that spot. Felt weird not being invited haha
Now I am curling into bed with Ambrose, we are watching cartoons. 🙂Good night xx

Natalia & Johns wedding
Its been a while – yes I know! But no point stressing about that. What have I been doing? Well life has been different ever since we got the Partner Visa.
But somethings never change and that is us going to weddings! This time it was Natalia & Johns wedding – and what a wedding it was!
So lets just pick up from this wedding day in North Sydney.
Ambrose and I booked a hotel for the weekend in North Sydney – just a couple of minutes away from the wedding ceremony. And also our old amazing apartment!
A blurry shot of the newlyweds after the ceremony.
And while the bride and groom went to have their wedding pictures taken the rest of us went to our old favorite hangout place – The Treehouse
Right after this picture I received a call that I got the job I went for an interview for that same morning. Just a little happy side-note . Nothing to do with Natalia and & Johns wedding 🙂
Natalia & John have know each other since they were just children <3
I have to add a video. there is no way you get the actual feeling of a (half) Lebanese wedding with just pictures. You actually need to experience 300 guests dancing to men in drums.
Neither Ambrose or I have anything to do with Lebanon BUT I am, without a doubt, 100 % having these drums at our wedding. “Hashtag slightlyobsessed” …..And after I stole all the flowers from the wedding, (and made Ambrose take some for me as well) we ended up back at our hotel. With an extended checkout of course!
Congratulations Natalia & John – We really had the best time at your wedding!

obsessed with the amazing nature of Australia
I can’t even remember when I became this nature obsessed person – but I am. Cannot get enough of how beautiful the nature is here in Sydney, well most of the parts of Australia that I have visited.
It’s all so dramatic and majestic! Okey maybe that’s enough of my whole nature obsession but you will see more of that in here for sure haha.
I am sitting having my avocado sandwiches before heading into Sydney for a meeting. Think I am about to start working here in Australia. Last time I worked here was years ago and I cannot wait to get back. Back to a “normal” life. I wont say the Visa process has been the hardest thing in my life but it has for sure been the weirdest thing in my life to go through. But that is thank God over and done with! Maybe that’s why I have time to obsess over nature nowadays ?! 😉Now a quick shower and getting ready for my meeting and then I have tickets to the theater – Alice in Wonderland. Just have to find someone to go with me. I need to start making friends hahahaha
Have a great Thursday xx
