Chilled Monday
Hi!โก
Today has not been much on the program. Still managed to have some good things:
1. Met a wonderful and inspiring women called Robyn. I had a meeting with her in Kirribilli to discuss volunteer work for me since she is very experienced in humanitarian work. I loved everything about her and could listen to her stories for hours! Its not often you get to have a coffee with someone like her.
2. My little sister got casted to be the model for Platinum American Express that is going to be sent all over the world! And I am soooo proud of her. Ohh Jaz! ๐ ๐ ๐
3. Ambrose has taken the whole week of starting today. Its my birthday week celebration. One day is not good enough, I like weekly birthdays.
4. I have my first “friend date” tomorrow. I am equally excited as nervous. Is this the way people get friends nowadays, blind dates …?
5. Its one of my favorite people’s birthday tomorrow – โกโกโก Hanie โกโกโก
6. I stayed up late and instead of procrastinating I called all places I needed. Dr’s, lawyer etc.
7. Last night was our first night on our new mattress and we both slept like babies.

Cambewarra Estate
Late nights with espresso martinis, fireplace, single malt and cheese platters. In other words, some some of the best things in life in one place
We ignored the fact that it was rain and went out to max Wall’s boat, jumping from high cliffs and water-skiing. Well I did not do any of those near death experience stuff, left that to the Australians. I just enjoyed life on the boat hahaha
This beautiful house with its even more beautiful surroundings! Even though we went to bed like 4 in the morning, I still forced myself up to have my morning coffee by myself at this spot.
Homemade breakfast lunch and here, dinner are the best. And again, espresso martinis of course!ย
Playing gangsters shooting cans and scaring the poor cows who tried living in peace and harmony on the field.
Just came back from a fantastic weekend away. I’m lying in bed, in our brand new mattress that we just bought, and I am exhausted. Here are some pictures from these last few days we had on Wal’s family estate down in Cambewarra I think it was called. The weather was rain, rain and then a bit more rain but as you can see we pretended weather cant bother us. Explain more on each picture tomorrow. I am falling asleep while writing this ZZzzzzz

New country?
Its almost 3pm and so far I have spent all of my time looking around countries and jobs around the globe. Why cant it be easier?!? You would think that an “gypsy” like me would find this easy, but to be honest I find it more exhausting than ever organizing all the requirements for a new country.
So far I have Germany (Berlin) and some of the Asian countries such as Vietnam, Hong Kong and perhaps Singapore in mind. Its pouring down rain and they say that’s the weather for rest of this week otherwise I would definitely be up swimming right now.
Now I am going to have a shower and then continue with the magic tea I made ; boiling fresh tumeric and fresh ginger. Add some lemon and maybe some honey. tumeric and ginger are suppose to be magical for us and that’s why I call it my “magic tea”.
Ahhggghh sooo much to do with all this visa and work things! At least I have 2 things to look forward to. One: Ambrose is taking me away somewhere for my birthday next week. Two: Our new mattress is ordered and will be delivered to us on Friday. Yeay!

lovely sunday
I love Sundays like this. Actualy the whole weekend has been pretty great. We drove up the coast and stayed over Ambrose dads house. We had a bbq and of course Leonard brought out his latest pet snake for dessert…..as you do. Crazy Australians.
And most of the Sunday morning was spent snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing in Killcare and Avoca. We finally had Nour and Adam over for drinks by the pool which was great!
And now the only thing left to do is this ๐ Relaxing with the sunset.

Natures playground
Good morning sunshines!
Here are some really nice pictures we managed to take the other day in Bronte. After work we drove to see if there were any surf in the eastern suburbs and it started raining as we drove down to Bronte. Luckily we had 2 big umbrellas in the car so instead of getting in the water we just walked around the point a bit to watch these crazy kids playing in the giant waves.
Ambrose and his dad told me later that that’s what they used to do as well and it looked really fun. I want to try it. In the second photo you can see a kid standing at the edge of the pool waiting for the big wave to wash him over and trow him into the pool. In Sweden we had so much fun riding “pulka” down the snowy hills and here this is their kind of fun I guess.
Its funny thinking how different countries, weather conditions and nature recourse provides all these different playgrounds for us.

Cabramatta
We even visited a little Buddhist Temple
ย Half the fruits and vegetables in here I had never seen our tried before.
Oh what an fantastic day we had today. It felt like a mini vacation ๐ We drove the loooonnnnggg drive to Cambramata, The Vietnamese Town. Well its at least filled with them and their food which both me and Ambrose love love love.
We had a Pho, some fried chicken, a noodle soup and grilled pork chops. Mmmm.
I kind of wish it was closer to the city so I could pop in that area whenever. All the signs, the menu’s everything is in their language. And the grocery shops. That was just too good to be true! After a bit of shopping and a long lunch I tried to drag Ambrose around a bit longer, he was out the night before and was super tired. But I was after Vietnamese ice coffee. I knew I had seen a sign somewhere in the beginning of the day but it was hard to find back. If you never had Vietnamese coffee I recommend you try it. Its a strong coffee that they make by letting it drip very slowly, I remember back in Vietnam some places put it in front of you and said it would be ready to drink after 15-20 minutes! And they mix that coffee with condensed milk. I mean come on, how good is that. wish I got one of those but instead we bought fruit smoothies filled with exotic fruits for the trip home. One really heartbreaking thing happened today. Right next to our parked car I found a little bird “glued” to a plastic bad by a piece of gum. The gum was stuck on his chest and his claws were tangled on the bad as well. I guess when the poor thing tried to get itself unstuck. We tried to help him but he was sooo scared that we had to get it to calm down a bit first. Then I think he understood that we wanted to help him so he just lied there with only his little heart beating read hard and fast. We had to get a knife and cut the plastic because we did not want to rip of his feathers.

Tuesday
Thought I come in here and say hi. Its been raining all morning and now at 3pm its clearing up a bit. I have been putting up an ad to sell some stuff and thought now with the clouds gone I might go up for a swim. It will be frreezzziiinng cold but better than sitting around.
By the way, Hanie sent this picture to me a few weeks ago and I love it so much. This is from last time I lived in Barcelona. I think Hanie was visiting me and Jasmin and Enric took us on a roadtrip. Good times ๐

Australian Open of Surfing 2017
A little picture story of yesterday. We woke up really late and after breakfast we drove to a surf-shop. Ambrose wanted to buy a new wetsuit. After we drove over to Manly, not realizing the Australian surf competition was on. Felt bad for them, the place was full of people and activities but the weather was as it has been for days now, gloomy, rainy and no sun at all! But people still tried their best to enjoy the day. And the surf was good I guess so Ambrose jumped in and I sat at this nice place called “Manly Wine” and tried to learn more about expats in Asia, Dubai and other possibilities for us. Lately we have been talking about out options. Anyway, I really liked this place, I guess inside in great as well but I always lowed sitting at the bar and with the ocean behind be, this spot was just perfect for me. Will definitely come back!
The afternoon was spent at Michael’s parents house. He fell 6 meters on concrete a few weeks ago in South Africa and broke, well alot. This picture of his elbow is scaryย enough. I saw one when his whole elbow was ripped open that is too much to put here. So scary. We bought some surf books and magazines for him as he is on recovery rest for 6 months. Poor guy! But I’m not even surprised anymore. Ambrose and his friends are all half-broken from their stupid things they do!
