    Graffiti Girl

What a strange day we had over here! At least the first part of it. We got up late, had some breakfast and decided to watch an episode of Sence8 and wait until the heavy rain would stop. After that episode, and still rain we were just hanging out, playing with our phones a bit and starting to get well, extremely bored hahaha.
We went out for a walk but decided quickly that it was too chilly even though the rain stopped. So we jumped into the car and drove to Summer Hill, an area I never been too for some coffee.

Now back home for some inventive tacos.
I improvised this recipe because this is what was in out fridge and non of us felt like going out in the cold for groceries. It turned out to be fantastic. At least if I can judge myself 🙂

Prepare the meat as usual, onions, cheese and whatever else you have have. I do recommend the meat to be half pork, half beef. Just tastier that way.
Now, instead of iceberg salad and cucumber and stuff, I made slaw. This way you have an pre-made salad with all the goodies instead of butting them all in bit by bit.

Shred all these ingredients into an bowl :
1/2 pink lady apple – 3 dl kale – 3 pickled cucumbers – 1 carrot – 3 dl cauliflower. 2 tbs sour creme – 1 tbs mayonnaise – salt/pepper . Mix and enjoy inside a heated up wrap with the minced meat, tomatoes, onion and salsa.

Restaurant Xenos – a Mediterranean feeling in Sydney

Restaurant Xenos - a Mediterranean restaurant in Sydney Restaurant Xenos - a Mediterranean restaurant in Sydney Xenos is a restaurant I like to recommend. Its not wow, but there is something about this place. Food is good, staff are nice and its always crowded which generally good places are. Its location is Crows Nest and this place is packed with cafe’s and restaurants. But its seems everyone goes to Xenos, maybe to get some of that lovely Mediterranean feeling.

We drove to Crows Nest to get groceries this morning and as always Ambrose wanted to get in and out, quickly. He hates shopping for groceries, his style is he makes a list gets in, get the stuff in a couple of minutes and gets out.
Mine on the other hand, well I actually find grocery shopping therapeutic. It relaxes me and makes me happy. Perhaps sad and tragic haha, but very true nevertheless. So this time I said to Ambrose that he should go in, get the stuff and I’ll wait and have a coffee in the sun instead.
They have great coffee as well which is super important for someone like me, because I usually only drink espresso or long blacks. Its easy to “hide” the coffee taste in for example a mocha or caramel latte. A espresso is like sushi I think, its either good or bad, no where to hide !
Btw, Does it not look like I’m having coffee in Greece? 🙂

Before home we went to choose color for our new car. We are selling Golden Beauty and Ambrose is getting to lease a car from his work. We decided to go with dark metallic grey. It probably has a name but I cant remember what the car salesman said.

Now back to The Strangest Secret with Earl Nightingdale! Ambrose drove to Narrabeen to surf with Heath  and I want to listen, understand and take notes on this recordings before he is back so we can spend some time together.

    Comedy show

Even though it was drizzling a bit of a rain on and off tonight we had a great time. Took the ferry to Darling Harbour. Neither of us have been down there so it was good to see all the changes. Pretty impressive. After we went to have dinner before the comedy show. I was nervous because I though it was gonna suck so I was secretly preparing my fake laughter. Luckily for us and the rest of the audience they were all great! We laughs alot and no fakes hahah .
The only shitty thing was that the host girl more or less forced us to sit, well you see from the picture…right in the front row!!
We were practically in the damn show.

    Student

Here are some pictures from last nigh when I was a proper student most of the day. I’m up to chapter 3 in Neuro Lingustic Programing – NLP, and I could not seem to get away from my screen. Ambrose worked overtime and as he walked in he perfectly matched THIS sunset… made our whole apartment warm and filled with that orange color that in my opinion, is the best.

He helped me practice my lines for the acting later that evening. I am getting a bit nervous, the performing date is getting pretty close now.

Today I thought I am going to finish as much as I can with my studies, then maybe get to organize my closets and all the draws and stuff I have in the bathroom. Want to have alot of this done before this afternoon, we decided to have a date in the city and stroll around Darling Harbour.  Or I call it a date, Ambrose probably wont haha

    Iceberg

    Good morning!

I just came across a couple of sentences while studying that perhaps explain in an easy way how we can “use” our subconscious also known as unconscious mind. And why we should!
I often try to explain the importance of this but since English is my third language I feel I sometimes cannot do that properly. Okey here we go:

First they talk about that people of course have different “starting points” in forms of e.i supportive and loving parents, born and raised in a developed country, financial stability and other external circumstances that one might argue could help you in life. However, not every successful person had that. Far from it.
What successful people have in common is faith. Not religious but internal faith in them self and their own worth.

    They continue by saying ;
Wealth, fame, position, and peace of mind cannot be gifted to you, so you must admit that internal drive to achieve your goals is one big factor that can make your dreams come true.

Your subconscious mind is that powerful internal drive!

What they are saying here is that our internal drive, our will that makes up get up in the morning to do something, our motivation and most importantly (I think at least) that feeling inside that tell us we are worth it. All these personal traits are inside our subconscious mind. And if we want to change one of them, if we want to for example change our fear to confidence? Well we do this true re-programing our subconscious mind.
You do this true repetition of a new belief. and once your subconscious mind has accepted this new belief/way of being you have about yourself, your mind will rewire and this becomes a habit. You just act that way without any effort on your part.

Read this sentence below a couple of times and really try to get it in :

Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will control your life and you will call it faith.
    – Carl Jung

    Homemade antibiotics

And now also this day is coming to an end. I have deliberately stayed inside even though it was a beautiful sunny day outside. I feel good but still not 100 % from when I was sick last week so I really need to get myself well again because tomorrow I have acting in the evening and I want to  spend the morning going for a long walk and then having coffee and training on my lines. Not being sick!

So I have watched all kinds of crazy things on Youtube, you know how you start watching one think and then end up looking at all the weird suggestions they offer? I luckily also managed to squeeze in some study time before I went out for lunch with Ambrose.

By the way, since we were children my mom gave us this home remedy stuff if we were sick ( of course medication also ) and this stuff always works! I don’t know how, I don’t know why but I promise it works.

Boil a whole glove of garlic and 2 small onions, use skin and all. Boil them until they are very soft, almost falling apart. Take the skin off, squeeze one whole lemon on top and put some salt on. Eat while hot.Its actually really tasty. Or I am just use to this crazy Persian medicine so I got used to it…

Monday dinner at Kim & Jackson’s

Last night I was invited to an spontaneous bbq at my friends Kimberly and Jackson’s place in Balmaine. Some of the boys were there as well so it was unfortunate that Ambrose could not make it but he was really sick. Think I gave him some of my germs with all the hugs and kisses I kept giving him even though I was super sick last week.
Kim and Jackson had prepared so damn nice with everything, I can really learn something from how to handle a bbq! Thank you guys for having me 🙂

This morning I woke up early and got myself our for my breakfast date with Ida. It was cold and small raindrops were falling, luckily I had my giant winter jacket on that my mom got me and I almost refused to bring here. I told her; its Australia, never gets that cold! I was very wrong…. anyways, like always I had a great time with Ida. I will definitely miss her, I have known her a couple of years now and I was telling Ambrose the other day that Ida is actually one of my favorite people I’ve got to known over the years in Barcelona. She is flying home to Barcelona, in fact her plane more or less just took off so she has has around 30 hours ahead. Safe flight Ida, see you soon in Europe 🙂

Now I am leaving to get back to listening to Prayer by Marianne Williamson. I had a lovely day but quite tiring day at my volunteer place. My neck still does not allow me to “be” myself and move the way I am used to so even though I love being active, I think I have to rest my body tomorrow.

Daniel’s 32nd birthday at The secret Bunker

    Sunday nights celebrations!
Its Ambrose’s brother Daniel’s birthday and this was celebrated at an amazing restaurant called “The Secret Bunker”.

We first met up with everyone at Rachel and Daniels house because they wanted to play with some flying drome thing or whatever its called. I was babysitting Xavier and Rachel was making Dani’s cake from scratch.
It was a great night to be with everyone. Feels pretty nice to have one family in Europe and now one additional family here in Australia hahaha.
If anyone wants great food this is definitely an recommendation from me. All of us were satisfied with everything we ordered, it was all delicious. I started with oysters and for mane course I had the slow cocked duck. If they have something slow coked or duck at the menu I will almost always order that so this was perfect for me.
The restaurant is located in Charmhaven which is pretty far from the city but we have been there a couple of times before for breakfast and lunch and it has always been great. Although their breakfast and lunch is served outside the “bunker”, in their garden. The dining room is as you might see in the pictures quite odd, it is in fact a bunker. To be honest I though I would feel a bit claustrophobic when we got there but I just enjoyed everything too much.
