Our Australian Partner Visa got Granted
Our first weekend as a “normal” couple. Very happy and very exhausted
I have been away. away for a very long time now. And I know that the proper thing to do is to apologize, like I have so many times before in here. But you know what. This time I really needed some time to sort out our Australian Partner Visa once and for all ! And I did ! Our Australian Partner Visa got granted ! So many exclamation points !!!!
But they are all valid, because I cant even begin to explain how exhilarating and relieving we felt when Maja, our case officer email me and said that she had now granted our Partner Visa.
I emailed her to let her know that this was probobly one of the best emails Ambrose and I received. Ever. She did not reply back hahaha. But who cares. I am no longer a mail-order bride ( Ambrose stupid joke) I am now a resident of Australia.
And that is pretty cool.
2 long and exhausting years are now just a memory. Maybe I am being a bit cocky now but I don’t think many couples could make it going true this whole partner Visa process. All I know is that Ambrose and our relationship is totally worth it and I have never been more in love in “us” as a couple before.
March 8th, 2018. That is the day Australian Immigration granted our partner visa. I was sitting at a cafeĀ“in Barcelona with my sister. It was raining. I will never forget that day.

My old apartment in Barcelona
My old apartment on Calle Pau Clarice here in Barcelona
What an extremely bizarre feeling being back in Barcelona. And even more strange standing outside our old apartment here in Barcelona. Not bad bizarre, just … I don’t know. A lot of memories. Good and less good I guess.
I arrived in Barcelona last Tuesday evening in my little sister jasmine’s apartment in Le Sepps. So far it has been almost all energy and time toward finalizing our Visa stuff. But not I am on my way to have a coffee in our old hoods – El Borne. One of my favorite, if not the favorite areas of Barcelona. What a great city, which Ambrose was with me!I have to take some pictures to show. So far it has been all work! But it is why I am here so. xx

Caves beach – Australia
– Inside one of the caves at Caves Beach –
Have not been able to update much here unfortunately. We decided that I would – instead of waiting to try to solve my Spanish Police clearance from Australia – fly to Spain and get it done in person.
So when Ambrose asked me what I wanted to do before I left for 2 weeks, I said beaches. Swim, get some vitamin D from the sun and just enjoy heat. A great place for all of those thing is at Caves Beach, which is another great place I can recommend for people visiting Australia
I am traveling to -12 in Stockholm and a rainy Barcelona. So Ambrose and I have been spending most of this weekend driving around beaches. We went snorkeling in Swansea and then exploring the caves at Caves Beach.
The water around the area of Swansea and Caves Beach are unbelievable. So clear and so inviting. I hope it’s still sunny when I get back from Europe. Cant wait to get to the this beach again.
Everything is packed. My flight is at 9:45 pm so left on the schedule is just cuddle’s with Ambrose, get some Australian candy for Hanie and Jasmin and of course, ManukaĀ honey for mum. She is obsessed!
Then its time for early dinner at our favorite Ramen place before I fly off to Europe. See you guys there. xx

Hiking Pulpit Rock in Blue Mountain
Last Sunday, on our way back from Mudgee we made a stop. Not just any stop, I would say this is one of my favorite places so far in Sydney. Its called Pulpit Rock and it is a magical place. At least I think so.
The weather dropped from 34 to 15 degrees as we drove into Blue Mountain which is where you will find Pulpit Rock. It was raining but that did not stop us. We bought a couple of yummy warm pies and two umbrellas and stared our short hike to this point called Pulpit Rock. It is only 400 meters I think, so not a hard hike. But, it was raining and that means the rocks and mud are super slippery. So we took of our shoes as they started to slow us down. I did my best holding on to my umbrella in the wind, hold on to my bag and shoes, and somehow take a couple of decent pictures.
You have to see it for yourself. So if you are around Blue Mountains, make sure to visit this place. xx

Roadtrip to the Blue Mountains and Three sisters
Blue Mountains and the Tree Sisters behind us
I wanted to tell all about our road trip to Mudgee, Blue mountains and Pulpit Rock that we did this weekend but I can’t keep my eyes open much longer. Zzzzz
I just have this one sneak-peak pictures of us at the beginning of our short road trip. We stopped at Blue mountains just to enjoy the view from the lookout, I think this lookout is called Echo PointĀ Behind us are the Three Sisters .Ā
I love this place, you can read more about Blue Mountains and the Three Sisters HERE
Its worth visiting for sure when you are in Australia. Well, if you like me and like nature, otherwise it’s not for you I guess. I really need to start putting up videos here. Pictures don’t have the same “feel”.
Now I about to pass out. This road trip to Mudgee and the Blue Mountains was fun but intense! Ciao xx

Road trip and Baby shower in Mudgee this weekend
When you have had enough vine at the Mudgee wineries you order coffee š
Make sure to drive and have a look at the cook nature around Mudgee
Italian dinner party with friends in Mudgee
Wine and cheese tasting with Bart and Kali in Mudgee
Always buying wine and port when we are here
Tomorrow this time we are on our road-trip to Mudgee. Oh I can’t wait! I have been in front of this screen literally all day, its tiring!Ā I am looking forward to the drive to Mudgee, singing along bad songs and eating ice-cream. We haven’t visited Mudgee for while now and I think both me and Ambrose can benefit from getting away for a weekend.
The reason we are driving there is our friends Burner and Tash are having their baby-shower on Saturday. Heath and Katelyn ( who stayed with us last weekend) are also driving up to Mudgee. Its going to be good having the old Mudgee friends together again.
Mudgee is this charming town about 4 hours drive from Sydney. I am not sure but I would say the town is probably most famous for its wineries. It also has a lot of great places to eat so if you are a foodie you wont be disappointed.
And it really is charming, nobody can deny Mudgee of that. If it would be closer to Sydney we might even still lived over there.
Now its time for me to close my laptop and throw it into the wall…. A bad joke, wont do that but it is actually what I feel doing now after 10 hours in front of it.
With that I am going to say bye for now. We are going to enjoy some take away Thai watching the sunset out on the veranda. If you can, I recommend you too to have a break from your electronic devices for the rest of the day.
Ciao ā„______________________________________________

Day plan list
Thought I would manage to go to bed and relax around 8.45 pm tonight. I just finished writing down my “day plan” – like a to do list for tomorrow (something I highly recommend. Read moreĀ HERE ) and I see that the time is mow 9:30 pm.
So much for that super early night…But I did not want to go to sleep before saying goodnight here as well haha.
The exciting news of today is that I might be traveling to Europe after all. I sat down and made a list of everything that I actually could do if I went there and it was quite a long list; Insurance, Dental, Dr visits, especially for my new allergies. Meeting with my lawyer, organizing things with both my Spanish and Swedish banks, and of course the main reason for this trip – pick up my Spanish police record and finally getting our Visa. All these things above just stresses the shit out of me. But what would be nice is to see my family, my friends, eating persian food and having “un cortado” (espresso in Spain ) in Barcelona together with my sisters ā„ā„
Good night, sweet dreams. xx

how to get a police record from Spain with the help of an power of attorney
We are planning a Mad Hatters Ball at my volunteering job. So much fun after the madness at the Consulate
What a day! Well at least the fist half of it which was easily the most frustrating time of this month.Maybe this whole year (only 2 months so far but still…)
Since we have got no answers from neither the Australian Immigration department, the government or anyone else we reached out to, I decided to once again visit the Spanish Consulate here in Sydney. I arrived 8:45 am, they opened 9 am. Aaaannndddd I was there dealing with them over ONE piece of document until 11:30.
It is, by far the most disorganization and weird organization I’ve ever visited! I somehow got an appointment for 14th of March. This means that I might not have to travel all the way back to Spain to pick up my Spanish Police clearance.
This is the only document left for us to hand in before we receive our de facto visa.
Here is how to get a police record from Spain with the help of a power of attorney :
– Find someone you trust to be your “Power of Attorney” in Spain.
– Send an email to the Spanish Consulate with these details: Full name. Date of Birth. Passport number and expiry date. NIE number. Address. This goes for both you and the person you assigned as your “Power of Attorney” in Spain.
– Send all this to the Spanish consulate, don’t forget to attach a PDF of your passport. On their website there is a form to fill in and attach as well. In your email, ask for an appointment.
– Bring your passport to this appointment at the Spanish Consulate, you and someone there will need to sign a documentĀ that proves you have now given the right to your “Power of attorney” in to collect your needed document (police clearance in my case) in Spain.
– Send this document to your assigned attorney who will then need to bring identification together with your signed document to Ministero de Justica and will be able to collect what you need.
