Anastasia’s Hens Party in Hunter Valley
On Saturday it was Anastasia’s big day. Well, not THE big dag but her hens party. Anastasia is Ambrose little sister so I was extra excited to go attend this hens party. We all were instructed by Elise, the bade of honor and the hens part organizer, to be at Mans Street at 8:45 in the morning.
The private bus she had organized was leaving 9 am sharp she wrote on the hens part wall on Facebook. I was on time, Ambrose and I had some breakfast and coffees before . I knew I needed all the strength I could get haha. The bus did of course not leave on time. But it was all good. The plan was a whole day of wine tasting at different wineries in Hunter Valley. Half way in the day it was time for lunch at a beautiful location. Most of Hunter Valley is beautiful actually. Too bad I did not take any pictures from the lunch.
I actually dont have a lot of pictures from this hens party. Just a few you I scrambled together here in this post.
After about 7 hours of vine tasting in Hunter Valley, vodka shots on the bus and alot of games games the bus took us to Terrigal. The bridesmaids had organized an AirBnb for after-party.
I stayed for an hour or so before asking Ambrose to pick me up for drunk kebabs and to tell him the all the crazy things that happens at the hens party.
I like going out but I love coming back home.

Parents to be – baby shower for Bart Junior
Parents to be <3
This kind of giant cheese plates reminds me so much of my mum. She always made us these amazing plasters with everything on. Nobody makes food like my mum. Nobody. Finger licking good!
Mike, Kelly, the hot mother to be – Kali and Ambrose and I
Sunday and it was time for the second ( or is it the third?) baby shower of 2018. Our friends Bart and Kali are having their first baby boy which is so damn exciting!
Bart and Kali had all friends and family over at Bart’s parents house. Fun to see everyone, we don’t get to see our friends that often anymore since we have been living up the coast.Good vibe, good friends, good food so overall a very nice Sunday. Although it was kind of cold, the sun was out so we could all be in the garden. I was teased for looking like “Jenny from the Block” and looking like I was a “senorita” from Spain. Think it was the massive gold earnings and my off shoulder top that did the “Jenny” look haha.
Ambrose and i were out all morning before the baby shower. We were kind of stressed getting ready so as I put on my body lotion I did not realize how much shimmer was in the product. So here I am showing up to Bart Juniors Baby shower looking like I am about to disco! Fail.
Thank God the glitter does not show in the picture.
Bart Junior is coming into our lives in 7 weeks. Cant wait!

Amazing morning, amazing life
This is how I started my day this morning. Amazing morning means amazing life. At least that is the case for me. I absolutely adore mornings. If I decide, a perfect morning include these details; stillness, meditation, no stress, no sounds but natural sounds ( like birds, wind, waves etc). Another must for an amazing morning is breakfast. And it has to be enjoyed slowly for a long period of time. Mornings with rush are some of the worst things I know.
Hotel buffet breakfast is another thing that just puts a smile on my face. My goal is to have the opportunity to stay at hotels with Ambrose and our future family just for the sake of it. Hotels and hotel breakfast…..amazing life.Last night I did not get much sleep. Ambrose had a work party and came to the house at 2am. I wish I was one of those cool girlfriends that go to bed, but no. I just can’t sleep until he is home. I might snooze off a bit, but no deep sleep Weird..
So today I had just that, an absolutely amazing morning. Drove down to my favorite cafe and had my favorite breakfast – coconut latte with cinnamon and a “Mademoiselle”. This is heaven, if you guys are in Sydney come to Tascott and to This Little Piggy.
Even though it is winter I was able to sit for over an hour in the sun with my breakfast and a book. Amazing!
After a while I saw Ambrose coming ( my phone had no batteries so did not get his text). We sat in the sun, reading deep and meaningful life question from my book Think and grow rich. And we just laughed and laughed answering these important questions. I don’t know why we laughed, but we had a good time. This is the rest of my day. The whole theme of today could be summed up in ” stillness”. After a couple of hours at the cafe Ambrose went back to bed. He had a big night and could not keep up with my out and about lifestyle today.haha
I went to the beach and listed to a podcast with Dr Joe Dispenza , just for 45 minutes or so. More than that makes me feel restless, like I am wasting my life just lying around on a beach. haha. Just the way I am!Now it is 10 pm and time for me to do my meditation and go to sleep. Hope all of you also had an amazing morning like I did!

A lifetime of friendship
I just found an old group chat on my phone with my friends back in Sweden. Last time we used this friendship group chat was back in 2017 or something so I did not have much hope. But it worked, I got connection hahaha. Well at least with 2 of them – Suzie and Peppi. So happy right now!
We were sending pictures from last year this time when we all (well almost all of us)flew to south of Sweden to visit Ã…sa who lives there.I have to say, my friends are really shit at planning anything together, especially trips. So this was a big deal! It took my friends 7 years (!!!) to come visit me when I lived in Barcelona. Crazy.
Anyway, only a few sentences were exchanged, but that was enough. My whole chest got warm of happiness. Crazy how that you don’t realize how much you miss and value your friends and this lifetime of friendship, and then 2 sentences later, it all just flushes over you. Kind of overwhelming almost.
And then I texted my cousins in Sweden, my sisters in Barcelona and my mum…. and now I am like screaming at poor Ambrose that I am all alone in this stupid far away country and that we need to fly back to Europe ASAP so I get to enjoy this lifetime of friendship I built !
I miss you all terribly. Ambrose always tells me I am so dramatic and I can see now why he thinks that. 🙂Lets go back to that trip with some pictures.
I cannot even begin to explain how much we have laughed over this ugly picture! Suzy who looks like she lost her legs, Michaela who looks exactly (not a compliment btw) like Michael Jackson here. Myself who clearly failed in jumping all together. ONLY Åsa looks okay here.So bad!Carro and her 2 beautiful kids. So lucky we matched visiting Stockholm at the same dates. That almost never happens! Carro lives in The Canary Islands.

interior design magazine
It’s already Tuesday and except working nothing much has been going on over here. That why I think we should go back to the weekend instead. A weekend with open house inspections, forest walking, sleeping in and flipping trough a magazine while having a coffee in the sun. Ahh love the last one the most. Favorite activity, well if you can call sipping coffee an activity. I say yes we can!
I especially like it when it is cold outside and you get a spot right by the window and the sun trough the window warms your body. So you see, this is a hobby of mine hahaThe magazines I am interested nowadays are mostly interior design magazines. All I want to spend my money on are things like a lemon tree, new paint and solar panels for the roof. Just the thought of shopping clothes makes me tired.
At one of the cafe´s we visited there was an interior design magazine that featured 101 tips on how renovation for the home. Super interesting and valuable now that we are buying a house. By the was, what an exciting sentence that is – we are buying a house! -
Baby shower – its a girl
our friends Hannah and Ari are having a baby girl very soon. And of course this was celebrated with a pink feast – a baby shower! I have been to a couple of baby showers now, and I love how well Hannah, Ari and their families pulled it off. There was soo much food – which is always good, balloons and beautiful decorations everywhere. And I really like the present table at a baby shower- always tasteful and well though of wrapping.
I was almost not going to make it. Living up the coast is really not ideal when you want to socialize. I could drive, but then Ambrose would be stuck without a car. The other option was the ferry to Palm beach, a bus to I dont even know where and then a cab to the baby shower. Puh… no thank you.
Luckily my pretty little friend Nikki picked me up and I did not have to miss the baby shower.
What was extra fun for me was that there was a lot of Persians at the shower. Ari is Persian and I got to meet his mother, sisters, aunties and cousins – like always, Persians come in a pack haha.I spoke Farsi ( persian language ) which felt a bit strange. Language tend to wear off a bit when you dont get to practice.
I got to get some children and practice my Farsi on them. I know you cant force it but I will definitely try my best to get bilingual children. English is given from Ambrose, Swedish is given from me, and because my sisters live in Barcelona, we have Spanish. I really have nothing to worry about. My mom and my entire extended family will speak Farsi with our kids. No way they wont get to be bilingual! They will thank me one day…

21 day challenge on the group chat
Sitting here on my bed trying to catch up with the latest on our cousin chat on whatsapp. Think we are 13 people in there and as always there is a lot going on. All at the same time 🙂 God I love my family. Because of the time diffidence, Sydney/Europe I often miss the “live” conversation. I have not been on my phone for most of the day ( yes! very proud ) so catching up now is feels like running a race. So far I have one story of one of the little kids in our family in a hospital (not super serious but be needs a small surgery) so that made me sad. Then another story is filmed at my uncle’s house all funny. Then somebody filming a birthday. Puh…I am exhausted. So many emotions from one single read!
Our in the lounge Ambrose and his dad are watching the game of the year – State of Origin. I usually love watching big sport events but after the pasta bolognese and a glass of red wine I feel drowsy and feverish. So instead I am in bed catching up our group chat.
We all have decides to do a 21 day challenge The challenge this time is to meditate – everyone can decide their own time – but to do it morning and night for 21 days. I will start mine tonight. I decided to do 15 min at nights and 10 min in the mornings. Join if you guys want to jump on this challenge!?
What else has been exciting today? Besides hanging by the beach, walking on cliffs and short shopping for some gym clothes. We did go for a hike in the bush behind the house we stay in. That was very nice but it reminded me that I need to get in to better shape. ASAP.
Ok I better start my 15 min night meditation. Day 1 out of 21 is officially started.
