Hiking Pulpit Rock in Blue Mountain
Last Sunday, on our way back from Mudgee we made a stop. Not just any stop, I would say this is one of my favorite places so far in Sydney. Its called Pulpit Rock and it is a magical place. At least I think so.
The weather dropped from 34 to 15 degrees as we drove into Blue Mountain which is where you will find Pulpit Rock. It was raining but that did not stop us. We bought a couple of yummy warm pies and two umbrellas and stared our short hike to this point called Pulpit Rock. It is only 400 meters I think, so not a hard hike. But, it was raining and that means the rocks and mud are super slippery. So we took of our shoes as they started to slow us down. I did my best holding on to my umbrella in the wind, hold on to my bag and shoes, and somehow take a couple of decent pictures.
You have to see it for yourself. So if you are around Blue Mountains, make sure to visit this place. xx

Baby shower and wine tasting tour in Mudgee
Found a couple of pictures from our weekend in Mudgee. We mainly did this weekend road trip to see Burner and Tash. They are about to have a little boy and had invited all of us for a baby shower.
So excited to meet their little boy! Tash is going to have the baby in Sydney and not in Mudgee so maybe we get to visit them at the hospital before they drive back to Mudgee with the new baby. The road trip started Friday afternoon. We made a short stop in the Blue Mountains to see three sisters but we did good, instead of 9:30 pm we reached Mudgee around 7:30. So we started with drinks with Katie and Drew at the Brewery.
I forgot how Mudgee has ( in my opinion) bad red wines. I like full-bodied red wines and that is not to be found in Mudgee. However, their white, rosé and dessert wines are really nice. Although, the one not to be missed when in Mudgee is the port. Make sure you visit Pieter van Gent Winery when you are on a vine tour in Mudgee.
Saturday morning I started with joining Katie’s class. One hour of Vinyasa Yoga, such a good way to start the day. Katie is a Yoga teacher from America. You find more on her classes HERE
After the baby shower a bunch of us headed of for a wine tasting tour. Our road trip was for the baby shower but I just can’t visit Mudgee without visit its wineries.
We ended our weekend in Mudgee with a big BBQ at Drew’s place. Afterwards it was time for a big football game in town. Sunday we booked in 2 breakfast dates, we wanted to see as many of our Mudgee friends as possible before our road trip back to Sydney.
Not bad having living in the same house with a Yoga teacher
Baby shower ideas ♥Nobody wants a surprise picture taken while eating… haha
From the left its Heidi, Elle, me and Kaitlyn
Soon to be a dad – Burner with his nieceÂAt Pieter van Gents Winery & Vineyard
Top row from the left , Katilyn, Katie, Drews brother, me, Ambrose and Heidi.
Then we have Heath and Drew with Burner on top of them. Thanks to all our Mudgee friends for this weekend. xx

Roadtrip to the Blue Mountains and Three sisters
Blue Mountains and the Tree Sisters behind us
I wanted to tell all about our road trip to Mudgee, Blue mountains and Pulpit Rock that we did this weekend but I can’t keep my eyes open much longer. Zzzzz
I just have this one sneak-peak pictures of us at the beginning of our short road trip. We stopped at Blue mountains just to enjoy the view from the lookout, I think this lookout is called Echo Point Behind us are the Three Sisters .Â
I love this place, you can read more about Blue Mountains and the Three Sisters HERE
Its worth visiting for sure when you are in Australia. Well, if you like me and like nature, otherwise it’s not for you I guess. I really need to start putting up videos here. Pictures don’t have the same “feel”.
Now I about to pass out. This road trip to Mudgee and the Blue Mountains was fun but intense! Ciao xx

Road trip and Baby shower in Mudgee this weekend
When you have had enough vine at the Mudgee wineries you order coffee 😉
Make sure to drive and have a look at the cook nature around Mudgee
Italian dinner party with friends in Mudgee
Wine and cheese tasting with Bart and Kali in Mudgee
Always buying wine and port when we are here
Tomorrow this time we are on our road-trip to Mudgee. Oh I can’t wait! I have been in front of this screen literally all day, its tiring! I am looking forward to the drive to Mudgee, singing along bad songs and eating ice-cream. We haven’t visited Mudgee for while now and I think both me and Ambrose can benefit from getting away for a weekend.
The reason we are driving there is our friends Burner and Tash are having their baby-shower on Saturday. Heath and Katelyn ( who stayed with us last weekend) are also driving up to Mudgee. Its going to be good having the old Mudgee friends together again.
Mudgee is this charming town about 4 hours drive from Sydney. I am not sure but I would say the town is probably most famous for its wineries. It also has a lot of great places to eat so if you are a foodie you wont be disappointed.
And it really is charming, nobody can deny Mudgee of that. If it would be closer to Sydney we might even still lived over there.
Now its time for me to close my laptop and throw it into the wall…. A bad joke, wont do that but it is actually what I feel doing now after 10 hours in front of it.
With that I am going to say bye for now. We are going to enjoy some take away Thai watching the sunset out on the veranda. If you can, I recommend you too to have a break from your electronic devices for the rest of the day.
Ciao ♥______________________________________________

My happy place
♥ Alexander & Emilia – they are my happy place ♥
Happy Sunday everybody,
This weekend has been a lot of mixed feelings. And all of it has been taking too much attention from me to even think about writing something here.
Friday:
I received a call from my family with very sad news. I felt totally overwhelmed and helpless that I just cried. It is never easy when you get bad news about people you care so strongly for. Its even harden when you are in such distance from them. You just can’t do anything and you feel useless. Luckily Ambrose was there, my rock.
Saturday:
Our friends Kathryn and Heath came to stay for the weekend. We have literally been to ever beach around the coast. Both Saturday and Sunday ( when also Mike came to join us) we all have been having a great time doing what you do with friend. Eat, drink, play games, swim, surf….
Very glad they all came, took my mind of all of Friday’s sadness.
Today we all went for a long brunch at Coast 175. I’ve said it may times – one of my favorites if you are ever up the coast looking for good food.We have been spending rest of the afternoon working around the house, cleaning the car and sorting out our (mine) million product in the bathroom. Now dinner and maybe a movie after, totally exhausted after this weekend 🙂 xx

Willpower and decision fatigue explained and how we can use it to reach our goals
Lets dig right into this topic because I believe the Willpower and decision fatigue explained and how we can use it to reach our goals title woke up your interest right away if you are interested in this sort of stuff. I know I am!
Our willpower gets depleted with every decision we make. This is why successful people such as Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg wears same outfit.
Conclusion:
Willpower might NOT be the best answer in order to achieve your goals.Solution:
- Plan everything the night before
– This will reduce your decision fatigue for the next day.
– e.i : put out the outfit to wear. Prepare breakfast. Plan when to go to grocery store and have a list on what to buy. Write down your What if then List. - Work on your goals first thing in the morning
– The amount of our “willpower” is at its highest in the mornings. Why? Because we haven’t reached Decision Fatigue yet.
so…..
make sure to tackle your goals first 30 min in the morning. - Pre-Commit
– If you feel accountable you are more likely to stick with the commitments you’ve made.
– e.i : Book courses with deadlines. Prepay memberships or courses you know will benefit you. Make plans to exercise with a friend. If you already promised someone to show up, you are less likely to back out. - Use the 5 Second Rule
– According to Mel Robbins whenever you have an instinct to act on something, you MUST physically move within 5 seconds. Otherwise your brain will talk you out of it.xx_______________________________________________

How to be a tourist in Bowral in 24h
I promised to come back with the details from the recovery in Bowral. Recovery is what they call the day after the wedding. Not sure if we have a word for it in Sweden but, whatever they are called I think it’s a great idea to have them. It’s quite nice to catch up with everyone the day after a wedding and talk about the big day. Especially if you have destination wedding where people have traveled a long way. Often, the bride and groom don’t have enough time to catch up with all of their gusts, that’s when recoveries come in handy.
However, after rambling on and on about this recovery in Bowral, it turns out I only took one picture from that event…
Need to get back to you on that after I find some pictures. Sorry.Lets instead have a look into how to be a tourist in Bowral in 24h:
Small alleys with charming café’s and shops.
Bowral is a perfect little town to just stroll around in.Right after we arrived in Bowral we had set a lunch-date with Tim, Mia and this amazing little creature – Millie
The recovery took place about 10 minutes outside Bowral, at Briars Inn – Moss Valle
Our friend Nour recommended this little pastry place in Bowral.
As you can see both from my face and the awards all over their window…Â lets just say this bakery is worth a stop when you are visiting Bowra. We tried their sausage roll, pulled pork pie and their almond croissant. Its called Gumnut Patisserie located on Bong Bong street.
We did stop to have a quick look at some of the wineries in Bowral. Non of us felt like wine-tasting, instead we enjoyed the beautiful estates and vineyards. And one more thing. This is quite strange but if you like tree’s, Bowral is the place for you. hahah I have never seen that many different types of amazing tree’s in one spot.

Italy – Oh how I miss you
I want to travel. I need to travel soon! My heart is set on Italy, beautiful, romantic, wonderful Italy. Have you guys traveled to Italy? I feel it is one of the “must” when in Europe.
Why? Well lets see….the food, the history, the monuments, the shopping, the vine, the nature, the coffee, the ice cream, the people, the language, the buildings. And again, the food!So far I have seen Rome, Naples, San Marino,Venice, Genoa,Vatican City, Ventimiglia, Milan, San Remo and Bologna.
One reason I’ve been there often is because as all European know ( and everyone coming to visit Europe) is that everything is “close by”. So especially the period I lived in Barcelona and Nice, Italy was just a train-ride or a short flight away. Sometimes we drove as well.Miss having other countries close by haha. Now I am on a giant island far far away from everything! Not complaining though. Australia is home and that means everything to me.
– Coffee break in Naples –
Coffee in Italy is by far one of the best. Ambrose favorite was the small coffee you have standing up. I love having a coffee while sitting down, preferably with this view! Italians don’t mock around with their coffee.
I really enjoyed reading “Ordering Coffee in Italy: the 10 commandments”
It is exactly like that! Might be good to read that article before you start ordering skimmed hazelnut almond latte while in Italy. You can find the article HERE– Colosseum in Rome –
We were here about 2 years ago. It was a surreal and powerful feeling walking along all that history that is within the walls of Colosseum. I am a big fan of history and Rome did not disappoint in that department.
– Hotel terrace in Naples –
When you travel around a couple of countries for a couple of weeks you tend to stay in a lot of different hotels. Here arriving in Naples and finding out that our hotel room came with a massive terrace. I mean really really big. Without any furniture at all, it was just big and empty. So strange but great!
– View from hotel room in Venice –
View from one of the hotels we stayed at in Venice. I loved this hotel. Ambrose hated it. The decor was very classic, old school Italian, I like that style a lot.
Such beautiful and powerful buildings everywhere in Italy
-Two of my absolute favorites in the world – Ambrose and food –
– Trevi Fountain in Rome –
– Flood in Venice –
– Mi amore next to one of the canals of Venice –
