    Girlfriends

I have been extremely good at making time for my girlfriends lately. I have made sure to get together with both my older girlfriends and even made new friends. Not like me at all. The last couple of years I would say I have sort of “blamed” it on not being in the country I grew up it. Or on that I already have really good friends back home. Home is referred to Sweden which I haven’t living in for over eight plus years so not great excuses.

It was Ambrose who reminded me that it is me who need to take action and do something about it. I need to reach out to the girlfriends I already had. Also, I needed to start making an effort to befriend new girlfriends.

Being too comfortable and not having any urgency can sometimes be a bit negative. It kind of takes out the motivation, drive or whatever you like to call it.

Anyway, it made a small adjustment and suddenly I am all out and about with my girlfriends. Feels really strange and really really fun.

We do what girlfriends do best. We get together and eat great food and drink even greater cocktails.

Here are some of the last get together we had:

Think I need to mention some of the places we went to since they have become my favorites. So if you are looking for good places here are some that I like and go back to often.

    The Spanish Fly

    Mamas & Papas

    Bat Country

    Don Pedros

    Hotel Ravesis

    Sammy Jr

These are a bit all over the place. The Spot in Randwick, CBD and Bondi Beach. A bit different in style but overall good food and cocktails which for me is very important. They all have nice atmosphere as well which makes everything better in my opinion.

    Enjoy xx

    Holiday in Jervis Bay

Last Friday after work we drove off to for a mini holiday in Jervis Bay. Its about 4 hour drive from Sydney so a perfect weekend holiday destination.

I left earlier than Ambrose. Got a lift with my boss Jessica, She was going to the same destination for one of our colleagues wedding – such a coincidence that we were going to have a holiday in Jervis Bay at the exact same weekend!

The weather in Jervis Bay is always a bit unstable. But we had such a good time. Oh by the way, we went to stay with our friends Bart and Kali. And little Ruben of course.

Ruben loved Ambrose clapping games. look how fascinated he is of Ambrose 🙂

Doing our best to catch Rubens attention for a picture. Did not go well…

Eating is a very important part of holidays. Trust everyone agrees hahaha
I picked pork, poached eggs, crispy leeks and hollandaise sause on grilled bagels. Very tasty!
Saturday spent at Hyams beach in Jervis Bay
Sunday spent at another white sand beach in Jervis Bay..
It was starting to rain on the Sunday. Here we are prepping our-self’s before jumping into crystal clear water.
It was fresh to say the least. Freezing our tits off but worth it! Sitting at home now, I cannot wait until our next holiday in Jervis Bay.

If you are after more places around Jervis Bay, have a look at my post South Coast here

    Traveling to Bali

I had a rather long break from writing like this – journal, blog or whatever you like to call it. So naturally I have missed telling you guys about so much stuff that has happened.

I wont be able to go back and retell it all. However, some of the more memorable moments I will share. And I will start by the time we went traveling in Bali. Its really incredible, the nature, the food, the spa´s. Traveling to Bali is a must because of so many reasons. I am thinking its best to divide our Bali travel into sections. Otherwise it might be too much for just one entry.

I could just upload a thousands of pictures, call it “traveling to Bali” and let them speak for themselves. But I think its a little more charming to tell a story behind the pictures.

And, its a great way for me to give you guys some recommendations. If you decide you want to be traveling to Bali one day.

Indian food in a new neighborhood

Friday and I was totally ready to finish work and start the weekend. I left later than I wanted to and was secretly wishing I was living in our old neighborhood haha. Could not be bothered with the public transport. So when Ambros asked if I wanted to come by his work and drive back to the house together I said yes straight away.

Where he works there is a Myer that sells my skincare products – The Ordinary. I think I have praised them before HERE
They are so hard to get so I bought alot of them because in the Myer around our neighborhood dont sell them. After Ambros etook me out for dinner to celebrate my new job offer. So cute. I chose Indian food, have not had Indian food for maybe a year. There is a neighborhood in Sydney where Indian food is everywhere. Its called Harry’s Park and it felt like being in India. Not that I have been, but you know what I mean.

We ordered Dhal as starters, or whatever that crispy Indian bread is called. Then as mains we had lamb korma and mango butter chicken. And of course garlic nan. Oh how I wish I had some leftovers right now. If was a good and authentic Indian restaurant. You could just feel it walking in there. It was called Ginger if anyone wants to try. I can recommend it.   That takes us to today, Saturday. This day stared with sleep in until 8am, breakfast at Little Piggy down the road. Then getting the car washed, house inspections, more coffee breaks, testing new cars – Ambrose is nowadays obsessed with Nissan Patrol. It is a nice car, but it feels like being inside somebody’s house, its gigantic !
Then it was the obligatory surf watch. As you can see, today is not the warmest days here in Australia…

Now we had a quick lunch with some chill in bed. Have to start getting ready for the three events for tonight Puh!
First – our friends Tim and Rachel are getting married in Mexico soon and they are having a pre wedding tonight.
Second event is a Ball my charity work is hosting. Its massive, over 500 giests, celebreay appearance and all that. Cant waith actually. The theam is Mad Hatters Ball so its going to be pretty exciteing. We have been working on this for months!
And lastly, if we can make it we have drinks and watching Vivid with friends in the city.

Okey, I better start getting ready!
If I remember to take any, I can imaging tomorrows pictures in this blog are going to be pretty amazing.

lazy days with a newborn baby, poke bowls and surfboards

There has been a lot going on these past few weeks – honestly most of 2018 has been full on. So some weekends it’s really appreciated to just have a couple of lazy days. Here is one of those lovely lazy weekends, filled with no plans.

Don´t get me wrong, I have loved everything we have done so far in 2018. Just nice to have some lazy days with a newborn baby, poke bowls and surfboards and nothing more.

I am an auntie again!  We did see little Archer just a couple of hours after he was born at the hospital. Here we are visiting at their home. Congratulation to Rachel & Daniel!
I keep telling them to just keep having children, they make such gorgeous and lovely babies! So far Xavier and Archer are 2 of the most beautiful people I have seen in my life.

Then we drove to collect Ambros’s new wet suit he order from the surfboards shop. And like always there was a little surfboards drooling (Ambrose not me haha) Who wants to carry around this giant?!

Yep – lazy days are better whenever including something nice like these poke bowls.
Seriously – get yourself to Manly and order one of these poke bowls. Best lazy day food! Mmmmmm

Normal people recommend useful stuff – I recommend poke bowls……

    watsons bay boutique hotel

I think my phone needs to be replaced asap. Cant take any nice pictures anymore ant it is bothering me because these places and occasions you want to keep as a memory.

Today we accepted our invite to our friend Jackson´s birthday. They had invited us weeks ago but after our trip to Brisbane last weekend, both Ambrose and I have been a bit sick. But I am glad we went, we always have such a fun time with Jackson and his girlfriend Kimberley.

We had lunch and drinks at the Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel which s a very pretty spot here in Sydney. The pictures might not be great but today was alot of fun!

And we randomly saw three couples having their wedding at that spot. Felt weird not being invited haha
Now I am curling into bed with Ambrose, we are watching cartoons. 🙂

    Good night xx

    Caves beach – Australia

caves beach - Australia – Inside one of the caves at Caves Beach –

Have not been able to update much here unfortunately. We decided that I would – instead of waiting to try to solve my Spanish Police clearance from Australia – fly to Spain and get it done in person.

So when Ambrose asked me what I wanted to do before I left for 2 weeks, I said beaches. Swim, get some vitamin D from the sun and just enjoy heat. A great place for all of those thing is at Caves Beach, which is another great place I can recommend for people visiting Australia

I am traveling to -12 in Stockholm and a rainy Barcelona. So Ambrose and I have been spending most of this weekend driving around beaches. We went snorkeling in Swansea and then exploring the caves at Caves Beach.

The water around the area of Swansea and Caves Beach are unbelievable. So clear and so inviting. I hope it’s still sunny when I get back from Europe. Cant wait to get to the this beach again.

Everything is packed. My flight is at 9:45 pm so left on the schedule is just cuddle’s with Ambrose, get some Australian candy for Hanie and Jasmin and of course, Manuka  honey for mum. She is obsessed!

Then its time for early dinner at our favorite Ramen place before I fly off to Europe. See you guys there. xx
