Hen’s Party at mrs Sippy
A very late post from last Saturday night – Kali’s Hen’s party at Mrs Sippy in Double Bay.
I can see from the pictures now after that we actually did this for 10 hours! My makeup slowly is getting messy and my eyes are getting blurry with every cocktail.
I might have mentioned it before that my favorite cocktail is whiskey sour. The bartender (poor guy, he must have alone made over 100 of cocktails for us ) recommended Amaretto Sour which I quickly swapped to, and stuck to for the rest of the hen’s party. How could I have forgotten about this tasty cocktail??We started off at 1pm and I think I put myself and Nour into an Uber around 11pm. For Kali’s Hen’s party we started with our own are upstairs at Mrs Sippy. We had our own bartender and finger food for a couple of hours which was great. I got to meet Kali’s family, more of her colleagues and friends, all fun so I know the wedding is gonna be great. If you think about it its not so much the place or anything else that makes an event amazing. Its the people. If they are fun, outgoing, kind, then every event can be really memorable. And that’s what I think will happen on their wedding day. Which is all you could ask for, and Bart & Kali really deserve it because they are great people.
We played games; “who said what” which is a game where we had to guess if either Kali or Bart said a particular statement. We all lost, mainly because Bart lied on most of the things! haha
Like this one for example; ” I do most of the dishes” – Bart said he does. I’ve never seen him even clean one cup!Yep – more Amaretto Sour to the people!
Barts mum (in the middle/front) sent me this picture. haha such a good one
Pretty girls!
I think Mrs Sippy is a perfect venue for special events such as Hen’s, Bux, birthdays etc. Or even just a fun night out. HERE you can find out more about this venue.______________________________________________

Our party filled Saturday
Since I was too tired to do Saturday last night I thought we get on it right now instead.
We have not been out partying for such a long time so I guess that’s why I was totally wrecked on the Sunday. Or maybe it was that suspicious Indian “midnight snack” that Bart tricked us into having hahah. I have a picture of it, its not pretty.Starting with breakfast in Manly with this wonderful person – Lisa. She honestly is one of those people you like to be around all the time!
Posing with mi amore. I am wearing a long dress which is pretty rare for me. But I got so many compliments for this dress so maybe I should continue in the long dress trend? After breakfast it was time for party number one : Chris & Jessica’s (Ambrose second cousin) engagement party. They chosen such a great spot. Loved this place, right by the water in Manly.
After all these years with Ambrose I’ve only met his family on his dad’s side. This is the first time I got to see his mum’s side of the family. It got a bit emotional, some of them had not seen Ambrose in years.
The plan was to stay only for a short while but we had so much fun spending time with the family so we were about 5 hours late to ….party number two! Tim’s birthday at Gazebo in Kings Cross. These people had been partying for a couple of hours as you can see. But we got right into it. I had so much fun! Again, thank God for Ambrose’s friends and their girlfriends! Specially when I miss my girlfriends back in Europe. These girls are exactly as fun, the Australian version and its pretty great.
Everyone decided to have an after-party at Tim & RAchels’s place back in Kirribilly. And we were not popular when we told them we had to go to another party.
Hurried into yet another cab and here we are, at the third and last birthday party, with the next bunch of crazy people. As you can see from the pictures, the night got blurrier and blurrier. I have issues and always want sharp and crisp pictures. But what can you expect after hours and hours of party and celebration.
At this place all that that was left to do was to dance, to old classic bad songs that everyone knows the lyrics to. You know the kinds? When you get a lap-dance from a bunch of lawyers but you don’t have a poker-face so you just stare at them uncomfortably…. hahaha I remember he danced, just for me, for a whole song. That’s a VERY long time when you are don’t know the person dancing for you!
Okey, the rest of the pictures are just way to blurry. I only had to show you what Bart recommended to take home as drunk food. Is that what its called in English, drunk food?? In Sweden we call it “fylle-käk” ahahah
I have to say, at the time, it tasted great. And the place was packed which always is a good sign for a restaurant. Just wondering if it was just packed with people like us that night. Alcoholics with no taste buds what so ever..
See you guys tomorrow. xx

Cozy Sunday with Sculpture by the Sea
Hey guys, just popping in to say hello. We have just finished out dinner – grilled sandwiches, non of us felt like cooking. Last night was amazing, we had one engagement party, followed by two birthday parties to attend to. So its safe to say we are making this Sunday as cozy and chilled as humanly possible.
We started the day with a long beach side breakfast with Bart and Kali in Bronte.
The whole day has been quite cozy actually. Besides the time we decides to do the walk from Bondi to Tamarama to see The Sculptures by the Sea. Its pretty amazing so if you are interested you can read more about it HERE.
But it was a sunny Sunday around the beautiful beaches of eastern suburbs. That means a couple of thousands of other people had the exact same idea as you… I don’t know if you can see it from the picture but there was people the whole way.
It was me, Ambrose and Kali, all tired, thirsty and very hangover. The last thing we wanted was to jostle with all those people. We decided to get some lunch instead. We chose Ramen, which has no become like a Sunday tradition for us.
Afterwards we were absolutely dead so drove back to their apartment to lie on the couch and watched Sex & the City for a couple of hours before driving back to the house. Also got to see Kali’s wedding-dress. She picked such an beautiful dress, perfectly suited for her! I got goosebumps haha
Next week it her hen’s party. I need this whole week without alcohol because I know we will have alot of cocktails at the hens. I am such a week drinker. Cant handle anything! Now: back to my cozy Sunday. Wonder if I can get this man next to me to watch some Sex and the City with me? I saw that he secretly enjoyed watching it back at Bart and Kali’s place. haha

Nature lover
Today I was listening to TED Talks and about energy’s and our conscious levels etc. Regardless what beliefs you have, one thing is sure – you do feel whether or not a place or person makes you feel at ease, or in discomfort. I don’t know how anyone could argue with that (?) I find that the more I deliberately focus on myself, my emotions, why I react the way I do and what triggers me to feel good vs bad. The more I do that consciously, the easier it gets.
If a certain person, situation, or places drains you, takes all you energy and leave you exhausted … well you need to deliberately make the conscious choice to leave that person, situation or place. And if you cannot leave (perhaps it is a family member) then the next best thing is to avoid. Avoid as much as possible. In case of a person, it might be a good idea to, in a kind way mention this so they get a chance to change their negative and draining attitude.
One place that I have where I get energized, that always puts me in a better state is Nature. Of course this will be the same for many of you as well. How can it not! I have as long as I can remember been a nature lover. Maybe not the most outdoorsy girl, but I remember that I have always gone for a walk in the forest when I wanted to “get away”. As I lover of nature I do like all sorts of nature. My number one kind of nature if you like, is the forest. That part of nature is like a fairy tale, like magic. Maybe that’s why I loved The Lord of The Rings so much, specially the screens with the alive trees!
If there would be no spiders on the trees over here I would definitely sit and read under them. This bench have to to for now. I love the nature here in Australia, who wouldn’t. But with kind of nature comes all the little bug’s, and that ehhh I don’t love so much.

spontaneous date night
I have not been in here for a couple of days now. Sorry! I have to be better at this, I will, promise 🙂
I don’t have alot of pictures from this weekend, we have just been spending time with eachother and chilling out really. Its nice to have some weekends with no plans at all. To do what you feel like at the moment. One of the things I put on my “Daily Rituals List”, wich you can read about here, was to spend less time on social media. I wont say I am spending too much time on it, (some people are just crazy) but I still want to keep that to a minimum.
Anyway, lets jump back to Saturday, out unplanned date night. We slept until waking up with no alarms, had breakfast at Little Piggy’s and then drove to Leonard’s house. Their cousin Rebecka was coming to visit and we had a family lunch date with her and her kids. Last time I saw her was just in the beginning of me and Ambrose dating, so 4 years ago. Crazy. Ambrose brother, his partner came as well and they brought little Xavier. This kid seriously gives me energy, I cant get enough of him <3
So nice to see Rebecka again. Would have liked to have her living more closely so I could get to hang out with her more.
Afterwards on our drive back we saw that there was a football game on, or a soccer game as they called it over here.
Most streets was cut off, people were cheering and walking everywhere. The positive energy from big sports events are so contagious I think. We parked the car to go watch if there were any tickets available. But instead we found a random man just giving us 2 tickets for free! hahaha, long story…
This stadium is amazing! You have the national park on once side, and the waterfront on the other side and surrounded with palm trees. Beautiful Australia. The last pictures you see is us ice skating. Or Ambrose ice skates and I am literately Bambi on ice. But this time he actually thought me how to do it! I think I am finally getting somewhere.
After the soccer game Ambrose suddenly was in the mood to ice skate?! Probably because he was high on sugar from the giant Melon Slurpee’s we had earlier…
So we ended our night with a spontaneous date down at the ice skater place, they had a “Disco Night” specials. But that clearly did not stop us haha. xx__________________________________

Public Holiday
Due to lack of anything else, lets finish off with the end of our fun public holiday weekend….
Strolling around this beautiful city. Here we were in Balmain, with the CBD in the background.
Playing with little puppy “Leggs”. He is THE most sleepy puppy on this planet. This is his position 90% of the time haha. Cutie!
The bright yellow house. Makes me think I am back in the Mediterraneans every time I pass this building.
Clearly I am into colorful backgrounds. Need to stop, seriously.
When we woke up on Sunday morning I walked down the stairs to find these guys half collapsed everywhere in the living room telling stories from the night before. The laugh fest was on again! After showering we decided to go buy some take away breakfast and eat in the park.
Breakfast was followed by strolling around. We found this cool Art Deco store that had some really great pieces. Found a deep blue velvet couch I would not mind to have.
We went back to their house, sat in the sun in their backyard and reminisced pieces of the night that some of us seemed to have forgotten haha. There was plans of going to the beach, mini-golf etc etc but we decided to drive back to the coast. Half way we turned around. Both of us were in desperate need of some Ramen at Rio’s. Luckily the line was not that long when we arrived.
On the road again in our Golden beauty. Ambrose got me hooked on my latest craving now…. Sour-Apple Slurpee. Amazing and totally worth the brain-freeze.
Now that the public holiday is over I am back on my daily rituals. It is quite hard to do breath exercises and stuff in somebody else’s house filled with people that are hangover! So this morning I did my Priming and went to a BodyPump class. Yesterday was a total disaster in terms of how I want to be. I regret it but I cannot undo it so the best thing is to just leave it and do better.

Kimberley & Nour’s Birthday Party’s
Here comes the stories on last night. And what a night it was! I honestly cannot remember laughing that much in a very very long time. It was fun from beginning to the end. We double booked and therefore had both Kimberley and Nour’s Birthday party’s going on last night. So we did what we had to, run between the 2 party’s and it clearly we made it work.
So we started here, at Jackson and Kimberley’s house. It was breakfast and cocktails at 10:30 am. The cocktails were delicious (and strong!) After my 5th frozen strawberry, mint and lime daiquiri Kimberley brought out the champagne and mimosas and I knew I had to slow down a bit. Crazy Australians haha they sure know how to drink. I am still learning it feels like.
It was great meeting their friends who flew over from Brisbane. Such fun bunch of people, I had pain in my stomach from laughing so much with these people. After a couple of hours of cocktails and laughter they went off to catch a boat and we went on to the next party, Nour’s birthday. We were a bit early so went to a couple of pubs with Kappa. Went back to his house for him to get changed. This took forever, here I am stuck drinking wine watching kappa ironing his shirt and Ambrose collapsing outside. I probobly mentioned this before but Ambrose needs like 18 hours of sleep and he probably only got 17,5 hours the night before. So he had to catch up some sleep… Zzzzzzzzzz
Finally we got to here – Cafe del Mar on the harbor in Sydney. Beautiful place with yes more delicious cocktails. Luckily we all ordered some finger-food.
I often remind myself how lucky I am that Ambrose’s friends are amazing. I really like ever single one of them. And all there partners. I am so lucky. The clock turned 8:30 pm and like two Cinderellas it was time for us to join party number one again. Kimberley had made reservations at a restaurant called Meat District Co.
The guys were already on it as we walked in. After 5 hours celebration on a boat, and with us celebration with Nour at Cafe del Mar, it is safe to say that was one hectic dinner party hahaha. Actually surprised they did not kick us out. After many hours we had way too much fun for any of us to want it to end so somehow we took ourselfs to a place called SlipIn, I was told this is the place Princess Mary met the prince of Denmark. Now after being at the SlipIn No idea how and why a prince was hanging out at this place?! We went in and the whole place was packed with Indians, without exaggeration, it was maybe 85 percent Indians. I blended in but my white friends looked like they were reporters from National Geographic lost in Mumbai hahaha.
So it was time to take some Ubers back to the house for whiskey, story telling and playing video games. The last thing I remember was laughing before falling asleep on Ambrose’s chest.
Thank you Kimberley and Nour for organizing such great night.

Sleepless in Sydney
My day so far has been great. Except I could not manage to fall asleep, last time I looked at the clock it was almost 2 in the morning! And I wanted to get up at 6am to get my things done without any stress. Well that did not happen. I got up just before 8, did my Tony Robbins Priming (as I do every morning) then after breakfast I went outside and watched the car. Holy crap its tiring to wash a car 🙁
Then I cleaned up, changed the sheets and did 2 loads of wash.
After that I had a shower, which I needed, I was a mess haha.
Then I was off to Sydney. I got to borrow my friends apartment for the night so I don’t have to get up super early to drive to the airport tomorrow morning. Ambrose is FINALLY coming home. I have handled him being away pretty good but enough is enough. I want my love back now.Tonight I met my friends Ninnie for a glass of wine, followed by dinner. She is from Sweden, we met while working together at my old job TMC in Barcelona. Now she is gonna live here for I think at least 4 years. Which is great because then I get to see her more often.
Now I’m lying here watching MasterChef Australia and I am actually crying….Who the hell cries over MasterChef!?!
I’m telling you, I need Ambrose back. My whole system is messed up since he’s been gone.Just a few more hours!
Tomorrow is gonna be 32 degrees. Guess Ambrose brought the weather with him from Bali. We have Nic’s graduation part at midday at Leonard’s house. Hopefully little Xavier is gonna be there as well, that woul definitely make the day perfect. He is growing up way to fast.
