Funny how feelings work isn’t it…
I was just reading something and it made me think about feelings. Our true feelings, these constant fluctuating emotions determining our day, our world and lives. I mean it constantly feels like whenever you think you got it right, that everything is cool something comes, event, people, thought… and it stir things up and it feels like you are up swirling around these crazy emotions once again! Don´t get me wrong sometimes its wonderful event, people, thought. But it still amaze me how little it takes to change your mood sometimes. And if its one talent I would like to posses, is the art of non-resistance, the ability of continuous inner peace and the art of surrender.
Just imagine, to learn to Let Go, Let Life ( suppose to be Let Go, Let God. But I’m not religious, and for me the meaning of God is life itself)
I know, trust, belief in all these teachings from great people such as Rumi, Eckhart Tolle and so on. And I sometimes find it extremely frustrating that I over and over fail to put their teachings into practice in my everyday life.
Its so simple yet the hardest thing somehow….This morning I woke up around 5:30am to go with Ambrose to North Sydney. I had received a text message from Jasmin where she said something about that I have such character and potential and that I should give it a try and move with her to LA and maybe to go to drama school, go on audition etc. I used to go to drama classes growing up, and as long as I can remember I wanted to work in movies and theater. That´s why my whole family is always on my to give it a shot and that if I don’t at least try I will always regret it…..
And this is the whole point with this post. Everything is great. I’m finally in Australia, we just came back from this amazing vacation, had the best long weekend. Just being here a few weeks and Ambrose has taken me around to the most amazing places. And suddenly I wake up feeling unease about the uncertain future. Fear about once again moving to a new country, our partner Visa, finding a job here in Australia, all the paper work I still have to organize back in Sweden. What the Dr say about my neck injury. Planing us moving back to Europe. Buying a house. And on top of that, that simple text message this morning makes me now think about all choices. How do we ever know if we make the right one?I hope everyone has a really really good day. And if you are in North Sydney, I can recommend The Treehouse Hotel on 60 Miller st. Such great atmosphere.

Rugby League – grand Final
So last night was the grand final of rugby league. So again, me and Ambrose drove back to Sydney and met everyone at the Clovelly Hotel. We just got there as the game stared and luckily for us everyone had form the best half circle right in front of the big screen. I really don’t get this game. I had everyone trying unsuccessfully to explain the rules but anyway, we bet, we drank and cheered ( some on Sydney, some on Melbourne ) and it was really fun. Wish I could somehow capture how the feeling of the room because it was perfect. Reminded me of El Clasico from when I used to live in Barcelona. We drove back straight after the game, giving a lift to Ambros’s friend Latif who told the best old high school stories.
Ohh, and the Sharks won! or was it the Storms…?? God I am soo bad at this 🙁

Persians & Aussis watching AFL together
Its long weekend here in Australia (as usual) This place is ridiculous, they have the day of for anything, sport events, random royalty, somebody nobody ever heard of´s birthday. Any excuse to drink, wear singlets and have a good time with their friends; “mates” here in Australia. I have nothing against these public holidays of course! Just cant wait to start working and get days off here and there 🙂 🙂
We were invited to Arash and Hanna´s house to watch the AFL. It was really good to see everyone again, after almost one year now! I am so lucky that all of Ambrose´s friends are such nice and welcoming people. I always have a good time when I’m with them. This was the first time I met Arash & Hannah though and again, they could not be any nicer. He is Persian and his wife if from Australia, like me and Ambrose. Funny to speak farsi here.___________________________________

Gold Coast 2016
Byron Bay. I preferred Noosa though. Noosa was exactly like a small, exclusive southern France village. Love places like that. We had such a good time so not much pictures. Here below is a restaurant we can recommend in Noosa –
Noosa Beach House
Drove to Brisbane to have brunch with Mia at there new house. Unfortunately we missed Tim as he is in Papua New Guinea where he works.
On my to do list has always been to swim in waterfalls and like always Ambrose takes me to the most amazing places! If you are ever in Queensland, visit Currumbin Creek!
Our Hotel- Meriton. We usually try and book apartment hotels when we travel. Ambrose likes to have several rooms and I really like the idea of just staying in and relaxing in your own spacious living room some night during a vacation. Gold Coast can be quite intense so pizza and movie night such as are the best.
We rented a boat to go fishing and lay around sand bars.
Watching sunset at Q1. I was not really interested to go up there to be honest. But if you are going out with a Town Planner I guess you just have to go along these things. Was really cool though. If you are at the Gold Coast, its worth a visit.
Longboards Laidback Eatery & Bar – If you are after hamburgers, this is where you go.
There was actually a Persian restaurant called Rumi. Of course we had dinner here one night. The atmosphere is lovely, nice music, staff and great food. On Monday and Tuesdays they have a kind of tasting nights. Great if you are not familiar with Persian cuisine and can try out different dishes. Not our absolute favorite but still a good place for cocktails and Mexican food is Miss Margarita in Byron Bay. We had lunch nr. 1 at place called The Dip, but we were disappointed so we continued to lunch nr.2 at Miss Margarita hahaha Ramen and Jasmin green tea in China Town. We went here alot, you can more or less pick any place down here and have a great meal.
We can really recommend ELK. Seriously one of my best breakfast experiences in Australia.
There is so much to do in Gold Coast, whale watching, paddle boarding, jet ski, special effects cinemas, Sea World, theme parks etc. Here are just some of the things we did; Bowling Bar. Gambling at the Casino. Paddle Boarding at this amazing place!
Hi! It feels like its been forever.
We drove back for over 8 hours and came back home around 1am. The plan was to keep updates here from our trip but then you keep doing things all the time so in reality there actually is no time for uploading pictures and writing. And also, we did go on a vacation so relaxing by the hotel pool and do absolutely noting surely is a vacation activity.
I though I will put some of my pictures from our trip up, and then comment just below. This way if anyone is going to any of these places, can get some tips on my favorite places and those less nice. (well, according to my taste anyway haha)Now we are off to Anastasia´s graduation brunch at The Secret Cafe!

Goodbye Mudgee, Hello Sydney
Aaaannnnddddd we move again! We woke up early Saturday morning after Friday nights festivities and the plan was to move. But clearly we wanted to leave Mudgee our style…. So we spent a couple of hours in bed and then walk to into town to pick up the car. Stopped by the weekend market before driving to The Pumphouse for breakfast at this beautiful location.
Went back for a drive, had take away Thai food picnic by the river and then we finally picked up some coffees and went back home to start packing. But we actually did good. A couple of hours packing, stess-selling stuff on Mudgee Buy/Swap/Sell and I think by 6pm we were on the road to the coast with Golden Beauty filled to the max. Both me and Ambrose have moved so many times that I guess we know how to do this quickly by now. This morning I woke up in Ambrose parents house where we will be staying while searching for our own house.
Ambrose and his dad had to drive back to Mudgee to get the last of our stuff. I will start cleaning up/ unpacking and then Leonard and Nick are picking me up for lunch at Gnostic.

town planners´ Farwell dinner
On Friday night was Ambros’s farewell dinner. It was such a great night and we all had so much fun.I met some of them before but had no idea they were such fun group! Love to see how much his friends and colleges values and appreciates him. They had small celebration for him from morning, throughout the day and finishing with this dinner and drinks afterwards. Well deserved celebration.

Surfer hospital
They all though I was such a nerd, and usually I don’t care about these stuff but I though it was really exciting to walk in to this place where they fix surfboards. Maybe its exciting because we don’t have this back in Sweden. I’m getting my own surfboard as well. Just got to recover my neck first….

Celebrating Xavier’s first birthday
This beautiful family. Daniel, Rachel and little Xavier – the birthday boy
A jumping castle – very popular with the kids. And adults as well. I’m surprised we did not brake it actually.
hahah we cant stop laughing seeing this. He looks like a piece of dough ready to become a pizza or something.
Seriously. How damn cute can one get!?
I love this picture of Ambrose. Makes me smile every time I see how happy he looks in this picture. Mi Amore <3
Yesterday was Xavier’s 1st birthday. Daniel and Rachel had a big BBQ at their house. So great to see everyone again 🙂 The best part was seeing Xavier having his birthday cake. He never had sugar before and he went from super tired to all excited, laughing, trying to talk and playing in the giant jumping castle. We left back to Mudgee straight after the party. Our last week in Mudgee…. And like always the sky was amazing. The sky is always amazing in Australia. ________________________________________
