Restaurant Guzman y Gomez in Parramatta
Yesterdays madness dinner. After volunteering in the city I went back to Parramatta to pick up Ambrose. Apparently Restaurant Guzman y Gomez had a opening promotion where they were giving out food and you could pay whatever you wanted, as long as it was gold coins. They were telling me that the line had not stopped since midday. We arrived at 6 pm and the line was still going. But it was fun, and the queue went fast. Both me and Ambrose chose their burrito bowl with pulled pork. I tried to make it into a Persian dish by adding a ridiculous amount of cilantro. I am not much for restaurant version of Mexican food, I do like tacos you make at home but if I have the option I have never chosen a Mexican restaurant. However, I would go back to Guzman y Gomez for a burrito bowl, I liked it.
After our chaotic dinner we went back to the creepy little motel in Parramatta where we had parked our car earlier that morning. We got a insider tip that the receptionist at this place did some side business of her own, by renting our the motel guests car empty spaces to people for 8 bucks. hahaha genius.
An hour of gangster rap singalong in the car later, we bough some blueberries, ice-cream and organic Greek yogurt and had all that as snacks in bed while enjoying an episode of Bob’s Burgers.Getting up this morning at 5:45 am was hard but I managed to get alot done so I am happy. Because I spend most of the morning talking on the phone with my family, my cousin, my mum and my aunty. It is literately impossible to have a short phone conversation within my family. Maybe that’s why I thought myself to wake up super early… I would not have anything done other way!

Kimberley & Nour’s Birthday Party’s
Here comes the stories on last night. And what a night it was! I honestly cannot remember laughing that much in a very very long time. It was fun from beginning to the end. We double booked and therefore had both Kimberley and Nour’s Birthday party’s going on last night. So we did what we had to, run between the 2 party’s and it clearly we made it work.
So we started here, at Jackson and Kimberley’s house. It was breakfast and cocktails at 10:30 am. The cocktails were delicious (and strong!) After my 5th frozen strawberry, mint and lime daiquiri Kimberley brought out the champagne and mimosas and I knew I had to slow down a bit. Crazy Australians haha they sure know how to drink. I am still learning it feels like.
It was great meeting their friends who flew over from Brisbane. Such fun bunch of people, I had pain in my stomach from laughing so much with these people. After a couple of hours of cocktails and laughter they went off to catch a boat and we went on to the next party, Nour’s birthday. We were a bit early so went to a couple of pubs with Kappa. Went back to his house for him to get changed. This took forever, here I am stuck drinking wine watching kappa ironing his shirt and Ambrose collapsing outside. I probobly mentioned this before but Ambrose needs like 18 hours of sleep and he probably only got 17,5 hours the night before. So he had to catch up some sleep… Zzzzzzzzzz
Finally we got to here – Cafe del Mar on the harbor in Sydney. Beautiful place with yes more delicious cocktails. Luckily we all ordered some finger-food.
I often remind myself how lucky I am that Ambrose’s friends are amazing. I really like ever single one of them. And all there partners. I am so lucky. The clock turned 8:30 pm and like two Cinderellas it was time for us to join party number one again. Kimberley had made reservations at a restaurant called Meat District Co.
The guys were already on it as we walked in. After 5 hours celebration on a boat, and with us celebration with Nour at Cafe del Mar, it is safe to say that was one hectic dinner party hahaha. Actually surprised they did not kick us out. After many hours we had way too much fun for any of us to want it to end so somehow we took ourselfs to a place called SlipIn, I was told this is the place Princess Mary met the prince of Denmark. Now after being at the SlipIn No idea how and why a prince was hanging out at this place?! We went in and the whole place was packed with Indians, without exaggeration, it was maybe 85 percent Indians. I blended in but my white friends looked like they were reporters from National Geographic lost in Mumbai hahaha.
So it was time to take some Ubers back to the house for whiskey, story telling and playing video games. The last thing I remember was laughing before falling asleep on Ambrose’s chest.
Thank you Kimberley and Nour for organizing such great night.

one real and one fake blond girl
I just had a shower and cant wait to start the day. Its sunny outside so I am excited for this Sunday to get started. Today’s plans are to drive up the coast with Kim and show her that part of Sydney. She is originally from Brisbane and so she has not been up there. Our fist stop, after a take away coffee of course is to meet up with my friend, who also lives in Brisbane, for breakfast.
Mia and Tim recently had their baby and I cannot wait to meet her in person!
Afterwards we will probably drive around the coastal area and stop and maybe Soldiers Beach but also Killcare. Two of my absolute favorites. Cannot wait to show Kim.Here are some pictures of our day in Balmain yesterday. We picked up our coffee, well I did, Kim doesn’t drink hot beverages. And she don’t like red wine, chocolate nor shellfish!? Crazy girl. Anyway, she drove me to this place just by the water and we went for a walk in the sun, taking in this beautiful view. The colorful houses made me feel like I was back in Europe. Doesn’t it remind you of Denmark or Holland?
After it was time for lunch. We walked up and down Darling Steet to try and find a place but it was so hard. Every damn place looked amazing! In fact that whole street was just amazing, cant wait to be bring Ambrose here.
Finally we picked Kafeine. We both salads, I think Kim had satay chicken with crispy noodles and I had pulled duck sallad. Both very very nice.
Now: Off to the coast. xx________________________________________________

Thelma & Louise
Their view is very nice. Trust me. Clearly my camera did not manage to capture that..
When your camera only can take selfies 🙂
I really wanted to write to you about this really cute little waterfront cafe in Neutral Bay called Thelma & Louise. But when Ambrose took me there, (last week) I still had my old phone with the crappy camera. Well, the phone and camera was absolutely fine. I just dropped the phone about 6 times.. all in one day 🙁
And the reason why I took the pictures weirdly like this is because after the 4th drop, only the front camera would work. The front camera gave in and died, forever! But back to Thelma & Louise waterfront cafe’ as they are called. If you are ever around in that area (Neutral Bay) and want a place for lunch or sweets, this is your place. What I loved most about this place, except from there pretty view, was that they only use organic and locally produce. Alot of there herbs and vegetables are grown in their own back garden.
More places should do that.If you want better pictures 😉 or their menu, here is a bit more information : /http://www.thelmaandlouise.com.au/
Have a good Thursday. xx

Asheley’s Hens night at pullman hotel
Just managed to get some blurry pictures from Ashley’s hens night at Pullman hotel on Saturday night, but that have to do 🙂
In just a couple of weeks its Ash and Stefano’s wedding so Saturday night we had been invited to celebrate Ash’s hens and Stefano’s bucks.
I dropped Ambrose off at the boys and drove myself to Kali’s place. Unfortunately my batteries decided that it had to absolutely run out during this drive (!) so I had to manage to find the way to Bronte without GPS. I was in the car for 2 hours…
No GPS and me focusing on driving on the “wrong side” is not a great combination!I was still a couple of hours early before we had to leave for Ashley’s hens so me and Kali had 2 bottles of rose’ at the balcony before heading to Pullman hotels.
It was really nice to meet her friends before the wedding. We had a really good time, Hacienda is such a beautiful restaurant and bar. Thank you Melanie for organizing such good night and that you for my invite 🙂Ashley is gonna be such a lovely bride. Cant wait for their wedding!

Break a sweat at the gym
I know I promised to write about the first days back home. But I have to start today with letting you know about this great gym I found! They are called Planet Fitness .I will go into more details about them later on but for now I just wanted to encourage everyone to make sure to break a sweat everytime you go to the gym or do any type of exercise. Otherwise, whats the point!?
If you don’t want to break a sweat at the gym, at least get your heart pumping. Its so good for you. Even if you will look like me here, a washed cloth hahah, at least you know you gave it your all.
Exercise, worlds best endorphin.
Okey that’s enough on breaking sweats at the gym 🙂 Now: back to getting myself back on track with remote work and remote studies!

Raw sushi & Grill
Spending days with this chubby little thing <3
Here is some pictures from my lovely Saturday. I started with waking up at 6am, did some meditation, work, small breakfast. And then at 9am I got super tired and went back to bed like a weirdo for about an hour. Not like me at all!
Forced myself to get up, had a shower and made plans to go to my cousins house, we planed to get some tan in her backyard. Its rarely very sunny in Sweden so you have to capture the moment as soon as the sun is out!But of course we got tired of just lying there so after an hour or two we took the whole family out to the city for some shopping. Very bad idea. It was hot and humid. Everyone else had apparently decided to do the same. And it was a massive sale going on. So I took her three children for some ice coffee and cake at NK while Mona and John did his shopping. So much nicer.
Around 6pm we all started to get hungry and I was promised one of the best sushi restaurants in the city.
It called Raw Sushi & Grill and its located at Rörstrandsgatan 9 on St Eriksplan in Stockholm. I can recommend this place to all you sushi lovers visiting or living in Stockholm.
I also had 2 cocktails, of course 🙂 It felt like a “must do” on a beautiful summer nights like that.
First the one I always take; Whiskey Sour, not a hit at this place unfortunately. Second, I had an Raspberry Mojjito, which was much better. The plan was to finish te evening with a movie at their place but in the car on the way back I felt that maybe its time to go back to the apartment. I had been with them since breakfast haha
Love days like this. I want to spend as much time as possible with the people I love here in Sweden before returning back home.
Have a great night amore’s. xx______________________________________________

Danks street produce merchants
I have no idea if I have mentioned it before because its been alot these last few day BUT we are moving from our apartment in North Sydney. Yesterday the moving truck came and the day was just focused on getting it done!
We have both moved quite a lot so we got it all done in 4 hours which is pretty great. With moving help of course! After we had unload everything we decided to be done with it all for a while. We drove back to our now empty apartment, took the longest shower and went out for dinner. We wanted Rio Noodles, the number one Ramen place in Sydney, but the line was about 20 meters of people waiting just to get in so…no thank you!
Instead we went to, what must be The Best Thai around this area. Its called Triology and its located on the main street ( where all the restaurants are) in Neutral Bay. So damn good every time! We had red curry with duck and crispy pork belly Pad see ew.Now its Sunday, we woke up early at Ambrose family house and drove straight in to the city. First stop was breakfast at
Le Renaissance Patisserie, french style, which for me is coffee and croissant. Fantastic start of the day if you ask me 🙂After that we strolled around the Danks street produce merchants which is filled with local produces. Amazing place!
We decided to have a “picnic” of tapas our last night in our house, and this market had all the great stuff for it.
I am already excited about this. We have no furniture at all so we are going to sleep on a mattress on the floor. We have candles, a picnic and maybe a movie on our laptop. Late night swim at the rooftop pool.
Its gonna be great!!Thai food at its best.
