Baby shower and wine tasting tour in Mudgee
Found a couple of pictures from our weekend in Mudgee. We mainly did this weekend road trip to see Burner and Tash. They are about to have a little boy and had invited all of us for a baby shower.
So excited to meet their little boy! Tash is going to have the baby in Sydney and not in Mudgee so maybe we get to visit them at the hospital before they drive back to Mudgee with the new baby. The road trip started Friday afternoon. We made a short stop in the Blue Mountains to see three sisters but we did good, instead of 9:30 pm we reached Mudgee around 7:30. So we started with drinks with Katie and Drew at the Brewery.
I forgot how Mudgee has ( in my opinion) bad red wines. I like full-bodied red wines and that is not to be found in Mudgee. However, their white, rosé and dessert wines are really nice. Although, the one not to be missed when in Mudgee is the port. Make sure you visit Pieter van Gent Winery when you are on a vine tour in Mudgee.
Saturday morning I started with joining Katie’s class. One hour of Vinyasa Yoga, such a good way to start the day. Katie is a Yoga teacher from America. You find more on her classes HERE
After the baby shower a bunch of us headed of for a wine tasting tour. Our road trip was for the baby shower but I just can’t visit Mudgee without visit its wineries.
We ended our weekend in Mudgee with a big BBQ at Drew’s place. Afterwards it was time for a big football game in town. Sunday we booked in 2 breakfast dates, we wanted to see as many of our Mudgee friends as possible before our road trip back to Sydney.
Not bad having living in the same house with a Yoga teacher
Baby shower ideas ♥Nobody wants a surprise picture taken while eating… haha
From the left its Heidi, Elle, me and Kaitlyn
Soon to be a dad – Burner with his nieceAt Pieter van Gents Winery & Vineyard
Top row from the left , Katilyn, Katie, Drews brother, me, Ambrose and Heidi.
Then we have Heath and Drew with Burner on top of them. Thanks to all our Mudgee friends for this weekend. xx

Roadtrip to the Blue Mountains and Three sisters
Blue Mountains and the Tree Sisters behind us
I wanted to tell all about our road trip to Mudgee, Blue mountains and Pulpit Rock that we did this weekend but I can’t keep my eyes open much longer. Zzzzz
I just have this one sneak-peak pictures of us at the beginning of our short road trip. We stopped at Blue mountains just to enjoy the view from the lookout, I think this lookout is called Echo Point Behind us are the Three Sisters .
I love this place, you can read more about Blue Mountains and the Three Sisters HERE
Its worth visiting for sure when you are in Australia. Well, if you like me and like nature, otherwise it’s not for you I guess. I really need to start putting up videos here. Pictures don’t have the same “feel”.
Now I about to pass out. This road trip to Mudgee and the Blue Mountains was fun but intense! Ciao xx

Road trip and Baby shower in Mudgee this weekend
When you have had enough vine at the Mudgee wineries you order coffee 😉
Make sure to drive and have a look at the cook nature around Mudgee
Italian dinner party with friends in Mudgee
Wine and cheese tasting with Bart and Kali in Mudgee
Always buying wine and port when we are here
Tomorrow this time we are on our road-trip to Mudgee. Oh I can’t wait! I have been in front of this screen literally all day, its tiring! I am looking forward to the drive to Mudgee, singing along bad songs and eating ice-cream. We haven’t visited Mudgee for while now and I think both me and Ambrose can benefit from getting away for a weekend.
The reason we are driving there is our friends Burner and Tash are having their baby-shower on Saturday. Heath and Katelyn ( who stayed with us last weekend) are also driving up to Mudgee. Its going to be good having the old Mudgee friends together again.
Mudgee is this charming town about 4 hours drive from Sydney. I am not sure but I would say the town is probably most famous for its wineries. It also has a lot of great places to eat so if you are a foodie you wont be disappointed.
And it really is charming, nobody can deny Mudgee of that. If it would be closer to Sydney we might even still lived over there.
Now its time for me to close my laptop and throw it into the wall…. A bad joke, wont do that but it is actually what I feel doing now after 10 hours in front of it.
With that I am going to say bye for now. We are going to enjoy some take away Thai watching the sunset out on the veranda. If you can, I recommend you too to have a break from your electronic devices for the rest of the day.
Ciao ♥______________________________________________

Italy – Oh how I miss you
I want to travel. I need to travel soon! My heart is set on Italy, beautiful, romantic, wonderful Italy. Have you guys traveled to Italy? I feel it is one of the “must” when in Europe.
Why? Well lets see….the food, the history, the monuments, the shopping, the vine, the nature, the coffee, the ice cream, the people, the language, the buildings. And again, the food!So far I have seen Rome, Naples, San Marino,Venice, Genoa,Vatican City, Ventimiglia, Milan, San Remo and Bologna.
One reason I’ve been there often is because as all European know ( and everyone coming to visit Europe) is that everything is “close by”. So especially the period I lived in Barcelona and Nice, Italy was just a train-ride or a short flight away. Sometimes we drove as well.Miss having other countries close by haha. Now I am on a giant island far far away from everything! Not complaining though. Australia is home and that means everything to me.
– Coffee break in Naples –
Coffee in Italy is by far one of the best. Ambrose favorite was the small coffee you have standing up. I love having a coffee while sitting down, preferably with this view! Italians don’t mock around with their coffee.
I really enjoyed reading “Ordering Coffee in Italy: the 10 commandments”
It is exactly like that! Might be good to read that article before you start ordering skimmed hazelnut almond latte while in Italy. You can find the article HERE– Colosseum in Rome –
We were here about 2 years ago. It was a surreal and powerful feeling walking along all that history that is within the walls of Colosseum. I am a big fan of history and Rome did not disappoint in that department.
– Hotel terrace in Naples –
When you travel around a couple of countries for a couple of weeks you tend to stay in a lot of different hotels. Here arriving in Naples and finding out that our hotel room came with a massive terrace. I mean really really big. Without any furniture at all, it was just big and empty. So strange but great!
– View from hotel room in Venice –
View from one of the hotels we stayed at in Venice. I loved this hotel. Ambrose hated it. The decor was very classic, old school Italian, I like that style a lot.
Such beautiful and powerful buildings everywhere in Italy
-Two of my absolute favorites in the world – Ambrose and food –
– Trevi Fountain in Rome –
– Flood in Venice –
– Mi amore next to one of the canals of Venice –

Barcelona on my mind
These last few days my mind has been all about Barcelona. The reason for that is that I might have to fly 30 hours to Barcelona to literally pick up a piece of paper from the Spanish police, stating that I have not committed any crime while living in Spain. I know it sound stupid, I should be able to have that document sent to me but because I am not a Spanish citizen I cannot just get it from the Spanish consulate. Believe me, I have tried.
At first I was really upset, I kind of had enough with the Visa stuff lately and just knowing that I have to fly around the world to pick up this police clearance annoys me.
Ambrose think its funny and keep saying I should be excited because I get to go and enjoy Barcelona. Which is true, but what nobody seems to get is that I am so fed up with this “gypsy life”. I just want one country, one house, one bank in one country and all of those “normal” stuff everyone else have.
Trust me, when you are dealing with everyday situations such as insurance, Dr visits, banks loans, and everything entitling the government or consulates. You want to be in one place! But!! I get to visit my friends and family in a city that I called home for over 5 years. And I am in love with this city. How could you not love Barcelona?!
Some memories……
These who pictures sums up perfectly a Barcelona day. Rooftop pool during the day, tapas in El Borne by night. Well during the weekends at leastMy birthday many years ago. The theme was Black & White. Here with Montse, Lulu, me, Hanna, Lucy and Sophie
After I lived abroad for 7 years (!) my best friends from Sweden came to visit. So much happened during those 10 days haha. Here with Suzy, Peppi, me, Åsa, Annie and Mikaela My last work lunch at TMC. Best workplace ever. I will definitely visit the office when I am back
Strolling around the old town is one of my favorite activity in Barcelona. Getting lost for hours is a must while visiting this city for sure.
Chiringuitos – eating and drinking on the beach. Another Barcelona must according to me.
Check out this list to find some of the good ones HERE One thing you do a lot in Barcelona is having a drink at a rooftop. There are so many of them so just take your pick. Here on one of my favorites that I always brought friends visiting me – Hotel1898Oh God, just realized that all the pictures are being out eating and drinking. But it was like that back in the Barcelona days. Also, I must mention that this was my University years. Guess Uni time is party period for most people haha
This is from my last day living in Barcelona. I remember this as one of my most fun and memorable night in Barcelona.
After writing this post I am actually excited to fly to Barcelona. Cant wait to tell everyone I am coming.

A walk down social media memory lane
Last night, I found myself looking trough Facebook. Not the current stuff from everyone, but all the old pictures. It was like walk down the social media memory lane. And I especially found that the date was interesting me more than anything. Over the years I found myself more and more not being able to place when and where certain events of my life happened. Its been frustrating because for the last 2 years of my life, for our Partner Visa, I have been forced to state the dates and places on everything that I have been doing for the last 10 years!
Because it has been like an endless back and forth between Stockholm, Barcelona and Sydney, I just lost track on dates and placed where thing occurred so to speak. And in between these “homes” of mine, there also have been a couple of vacation of course.
Now, I know that on any of the social media available today, you can always go back and check dates and places. I just have not been using Facebook as much as before. I think the last time I made an album there was back in maybe 2013?
And Instagram is kind of new to me. Think I got my Instagram app sometime in mid 2017.
Guess that was why me walking through all my old pictures was just like a walk down memory lane – the social media version of it.
Here are some pictures that I found from each of my “home” cities – let’s do Sydney. first ….The first time I came to Sydney. Its funny now but I never wanted to come here in the first place. Here with my friend Emma, a girl that I randomly met. This is the first month in Sydney, I was so damn sad that I ignored the fact that I had to find an apartment. I randomly slept at colleagues and friends places. I remember this night in particular, I had no place to stay, like many times before I choose to ignore it all and Emma and I went out for dinner and ended up partying all night. I had to spend the night sharing a room with 6 dutch at a hostel in Kings Cross.
I remember this period of just being so damn sad and ignore everything. I can see just how sad I am from the picture to the right. My old flatmates Behnaz and Derek. Two very important friends to me. They were the guys who “saved” me from my sad place in Crows Nest ( where I first lived back in 2012) and I ended up staying with them in Bondi. This is after a couple of months living in Australia and because of these two and the friends they introduced me to, I started to understand why so many loved living here in Sydney.
After moving to Bondi in 2013, I started to meet more and more people. Everyone was so open, friendly and welcoming. I started loving life here, and not just missing Barcelona all the time.
Looking back now, I cannot believe how much we used to go out. It became clear to me that this was just like back at home. It was just hard because I was so far away from everyone and everything I knew and loved.
When I came back to Sydney the second time. I landed on my birthday and my lovely friend Amy took me out for a dinner to SAKÉ in The Rocks. If you have not been here, you have been missing out.
Amy, another person that became one of my saviors. I love her and everything she did for me when I was new here. Most beautiful person, inside and out.Sydney after Ambrose came into my life. The first and only time I started to feel and to call this place my “home”.
Here we are with Bart and Kali, as usual – getting ready for somebody’s wedding haha
Nobody in the history has gone to as many wedding as Ambrose and his friends! My fist Halloween party in Sydney back in 2012 or 2013. I was offered money for sex on the way to the party. I though I looked like a wonder-woman – clearly I looked like a prostitute. And I remember falling on the dance-floor in front of everyone in my very high stilettos that night. Fail on so many levels.
This is the old group I used to hang out with back in the days. Incredibly good memories from those days.
My fist Boxing Day here in Australia – maybe 3 years ago?
One of my favorite pictures. First because as a non Australian, this is exactly how I imagined Australians looked like. By the beach, easygoing, super friendly with an accent that nobody really understands, surf:y-looking, their love for washed-out colored clothes. those hats. All of it! I looked so misplaced in the picture hahah
And the funny thing is that all of it was exactly like that in real life. Good old Australians, just like you see them in the movies back in Europe.______________________________________

Byron Bay
Today has been a day filled with just studying for me. Not much of a intrest for you guys so I thought instead of trying to teach you what I am learning over the Internet, I would go trough the days before and after the wedding in Byron. After all, we were there for almost a week. And we were not alone, I think most of their guests turned the wedding day in Byron Bay to a mini vacation. The pictures Ive found are so random, a little from here and there so bare with me okey?
Don’t remember if this one is taken on the way there or when we left Byron Bay. But it was a 8 hour drive so not close.
Well with beautiful surroundings and lots of music made it go fast. Here are some pictures from when we arrived. The house was very cute and we liked it straight away. I always make sure I relax and do nothing alone before a big event or if I know I have to be surrounded with alot of people. I never thought about it but I need to do it otherwise I get stressed out and uncomfortable. Weird I know, I don’t even listen to anything or watch anything. Just nothing hahah
2 nights before the wedding. We were invited to have dinner with Bart’s (the groom) family. Ambrose is more like a family member and I heard he apparently has his own bedroom in Bart’s parents house <3
The morning of the wedding. Me and Nour went to the beach for a swim and to get some tan ( we both got burnt btw). Stopped by the brides house to watch them get ready. Nobody was nervous. Only me. I think we were people in our house. Me, Ambrose, Nour, Adam, Elch, Kelly, Tiago, Cappa, Tani and Justine. Yep that’s 10! We had a very big house so it worked out well. We were about 20 meters from the bride and grooms house so that was fun. Days before and after the wedding we went to the beach, had house parties and had breakfast together.
Random pool party. We were driving Andy back to the house they were renting in Byron Bay. He asked us to come and have a look, the house tour turned into a mini cocktail and floaties party.
From the recovery party. The plan was to have the recovery at Bart and Kali’s house but since they were leaving for their honeymoon the next day they were not keen on having 50 people over. Smart.

Bart & Kali’s wedding part II
Luckily (or unlucky for me of course 🙁 ) I am still having this damn virus so all I can do is rest. Which means I have time to put up all the remaining pictures from Bart and Kali’s wedding in Byron Bay.
The only big achievement for today is to find a good spot for next Sunday when the whole family is gathering to celebrate Ambrose 30th. I was totally exhausted after that. Coughing like crazy, so I ordered a take away coffee and went back to the house. I HAVE TO get well before the weekend comes! What a nice memory these lovely Byron Bay and especially the wedding has now become. Every picture makes me smile. Hope Bart and Kali have an amazing honeymoon!
Lets have a look at the picture rain I just put up here, shall we?
Me and Anastasia. Sipping champagne after a very hot ,but very fun bus ride to the venue
With the pretty girl Amy. I hardly recognized myself when I saw this picture.
Doesn’t really look like me for some strange reason..
hahaha You just gotta love Jess
I snuck up to the groomsmen’s loft to see what they had been up to the night before the wedding.
And also to steal their nice whiskey. I don’t know why but I can only drink one glass of champagne. I drank whiskey sour rest of the night
The temporary Byron Bay ladies. They are all old friends of Bart (the groom)
From the left: Jessica, Kate, Suzy, Natalia, Talia and MonicaBart’s handsome groomsmen; Ambrose, Kappa, Latif, and Andy. Ambrose has been best man to a couple of his friends now. One of the guys told me that we will probably have to have a whole damn train of groomsmen for our wedding….
Best man assisting with the brides wedding bouquet. Kali had chosen beautiful native flowers throughout the whole wedding which was really nice
Handing over the wedding rings
Stunning bride and groomWe were all on the dance floor pretty much most of the evening. Exactly how I think a wedding should be.
