Holiday in Jervis Bay
Last Friday after work we drove off to for a mini holiday in Jervis Bay. Its about 4 hour drive from Sydney so a perfect weekend holiday destination.
I left earlier than Ambrose. Got a lift with my boss Jessica, She was going to the same destination for one of our colleagues wedding – such a coincidence that we were going to have a holiday in Jervis Bay at the exact same weekend!
The weather in Jervis Bay is always a bit unstable. But we had such a good time. Oh by the way, we went to stay with our friends Bart and Kali. And little Ruben of course.Ruben loved Ambrose clapping games. look how fascinated he is of Ambrose 🙂
Doing our best to catch Rubens attention for a picture. Did not go well…

Traveling to Bali
I had a rather long break from writing like this – journal, blog or whatever you like to call it. So naturally I have missed telling you guys about so much stuff that has happened.
I wont be able to go back and retell it all. However, some of the more memorable moments I will share. And I will start by the time we went traveling in Bali. Its really incredible, the nature, the food, the spa´s. Traveling to Bali is a must because of so many reasons. I am thinking its best to divide our Bali travel into sections. Otherwise it might be too much for just one entry.
I could just upload a thousands of pictures, call it “traveling to Bali” and let them speak for themselves. But I think its a little more charming to tell a story behind the pictures.
And, its a great way for me to give you guys some recommendations. If you decide you want to be traveling to Bali one day. -
old friend from Bondi visiting
Got an old friend from the Bondi times to come visit me today up the coast. Yesterday I messaged her after many months asking how she was. ( one of my new “things” are that I want to be better at contacting friends) I did not think anything more of it but after my massage ( another of the “things” I want to add into my life) we had suddenly decided to have a day together. This morning I sleep in, walked down to Little Piggy’s” for a coffee and my book until Behnaz arrived around 10:30. I think we sat and talked for over 2 hours. One side of my face is completely sunburned – we should have swapped sides halfway thorough breakfast.
After breakfast we drove to Ettalong Beach, went for a walk and finished of with a watermelon and mint frozen Popsicle ice-creams. That was a necessity in the heath. Might have mentioned it before – I love the Australian winter!
After ice crams we headed to the next beach – Pearl Beach. Its is only a 15 min drive and the drive is pretty beautiful so loved every minute of it. We put on old Persian songs and had a singalongs during our drive.
Nice day with old friends – must do this more often.Back at the house I made myself a late lunch. Garlic prawns and mushrooms at the terrace to watch the last of the sun. Then I made a fire, a cup of tea, and watched an episode of Australian Masterchef. I also put an oil hair-mask in.
This product smells so weird, and Ambros really hates it so I am taking the time while he is away to use this stinky hair product. hahaNow I have folded all the washed clothes, vacuumed and I am going to do a short meditation and then watch some trash TV in my bed. I miss Ambrose a lot and hope he decides to come home earlier. I seriously cannot sleep when he is not lying next to me. Hope that does not happen tonight as well because I don’t want to have to sleep in like this morning!
Cant wait for my morning coffee in the winter sun tomorrow.

A lifetime of friendship
I just found an old group chat on my phone with my friends back in Sweden. Last time we used this friendship group chat was back in 2017 or something so I did not have much hope. But it worked, I got connection hahaha. Well at least with 2 of them – Suzie and Peppi. So happy right now!
We were sending pictures from last year this time when we all (well almost all of us)flew to south of Sweden to visit Ã…sa who lives there.I have to say, my friends are really shit at planning anything together, especially trips. So this was a big deal! It took my friends 7 years (!!!) to come visit me when I lived in Barcelona. Crazy.
Anyway, only a few sentences were exchanged, but that was enough. My whole chest got warm of happiness. Crazy how that you don’t realize how much you miss and value your friends and this lifetime of friendship, and then 2 sentences later, it all just flushes over you. Kind of overwhelming almost.
And then I texted my cousins in Sweden, my sisters in Barcelona and my mum…. and now I am like screaming at poor Ambrose that I am all alone in this stupid far away country and that we need to fly back to Europe ASAP so I get to enjoy this lifetime of friendship I built !
I miss you all terribly. Ambrose always tells me I am so dramatic and I can see now why he thinks that. 🙂Lets go back to that trip with some pictures.
I cannot even begin to explain how much we have laughed over this ugly picture! Suzy who looks like she lost her legs, Michaela who looks exactly (not a compliment btw) like Michael Jackson here. Myself who clearly failed in jumping all together. ONLY Åsa looks okay here.So bad!Carro and her 2 beautiful kids. So lucky we matched visiting Stockholm at the same dates. That almost never happens! Carro lives in The Canary Islands.

obsessed with the amazing nature of Australia
I can’t even remember when I became this nature obsessed person – but I am. Cannot get enough of how beautiful the nature is here in Sydney, well most of the parts of Australia that I have visited.
It’s all so dramatic and majestic! Okey maybe that’s enough of my whole nature obsession but you will see more of that in here for sure haha.
I am sitting having my avocado sandwiches before heading into Sydney for a meeting. Think I am about to start working here in Australia. Last time I worked here was years ago and I cannot wait to get back. Back to a “normal” life. I wont say the Visa process has been the hardest thing in my life but it has for sure been the weirdest thing in my life to go through. But that is thank God over and done with! Maybe that’s why I have time to obsess over nature nowadays ?! 😉Now a quick shower and getting ready for my meeting and then I have tickets to the theater – Alice in Wonderland. Just have to find someone to go with me. I need to start making friends hahahaha
Have a great Thursday xx

My old apartment in Barcelona
My old apartment on Calle Pau Clarice here in Barcelona
What an extremely bizarre feeling being back in Barcelona. And even more strange standing outside our old apartment here in Barcelona. Not bad bizarre, just … I don’t know. A lot of memories. Good and less good I guess.
I arrived in Barcelona last Tuesday evening in my little sister jasmine’s apartment in Le Sepps. So far it has been almost all energy and time toward finalizing our Visa stuff. But not I am on my way to have a coffee in our old hoods – El Borne. One of my favorite, if not the favorite areas of Barcelona. What a great city, which Ambrose was with me!I have to take some pictures to show. So far it has been all work! But it is why I am here so. xx

Hiking Pulpit Rock in Blue Mountain
Last Sunday, on our way back from Mudgee we made a stop. Not just any stop, I would say this is one of my favorite places so far in Sydney. Its called Pulpit Rock and it is a magical place. At least I think so.
The weather dropped from 34 to 15 degrees as we drove into Blue Mountain which is where you will find Pulpit Rock. It was raining but that did not stop us. We bought a couple of yummy warm pies and two umbrellas and stared our short hike to this point called Pulpit Rock. It is only 400 meters I think, so not a hard hike. But, it was raining and that means the rocks and mud are super slippery. So we took of our shoes as they started to slow us down. I did my best holding on to my umbrella in the wind, hold on to my bag and shoes, and somehow take a couple of decent pictures.
You have to see it for yourself. So if you are around Blue Mountains, make sure to visit this place. xx
